Mandipili – Sri Lankan street food as in Colombo
Nestled in the 2ᵉ arrondissement, Mandipili brings Sri Lankan cuisine into the everyday lives of Parisians with freshness and precision. On the menu: rice & curry, sambol coco, egg hoppers and coconut milk desserts. The spices are just right, never aggressive, and each dish is prepared to the minute in a convivial atmosphere.
The value for money is excellent, and the portions generous. Special mention for the vegetarian kottu roti, crisp and fragrant. Mandipili ticks all the boxes: generosity, exoticism and real savoir-faire.

Le Comptoir du Ritz – A chic, casual address on the Left Bank
Le Comptoir du Ritz, opened at 45 rue de Sèvres, right next to Le Bon Marché, is a gourmet extension of the legendary Place Vendôme palace. Designed as a chic yet relaxed space, it offers sandwiches, pastries, sweets and drinks signed by Ritz chefs, to take away or enjoy on the spot.
Everything is elegant, well-balanced, upscale without being pompous. Ideal for a sweet break or a light lunch after a shopping spree in the neighborhood.

Matthieu Carlin’s iced cookies – The frosted break in front of the Crillon
Every summer afternoon, pastry chef Matthieu Carlin sets up his cart in front of the Hôtel de Crillon on Place de la Concorde. On the menu: soft cookies topped with homemade ice creams, in an elegant street-food format perfectly calibrated for snacking.
Among the musts: dark chocolate and vanilla ice cream, praline-hazelnut with coffee ice cream, all served with a minute topping. A unique experience combining palace chic and regressive indulgence, to be savored facing one of Paris’s most beautiful squares.

Bachir – The cult Lebanese ice cream that’s always on top
It’s impossible to talk about gourmet food in Paris without mentioning Bachir, and its famous organic Lebanese ice creams with fleur de lait and pistachio. Coated with crushed pistachios and served in a crisp cone, they seduce with their dense texture and subtle fragrance.
The place is always busy, especially in fine weather, but the service is fast and smiling. Special mention for the ashta (cream of milk) flavor and the vegan option. A cult classic that continues to deliver on its promises.

L’Équilibre – The comforting, well-thought-out vegetable plate
Head for the 15ᵉ arrondissement, at 108 rue Blomet, to discover L’Équilibre, a plant-based, gourmet and highly controlled address. Here, everything is homemade: squeezed juices, hot dishes, cakes, granola… The menu changes regularly, with always careful attention paid to associations of tastes and textures.
The plates are generous, the produce locally sourced, and the service friendly. We highly recommend the warm lentil-sweet potato-feta bowl and the savory tarts of the day. Perfect for a healthy, hearty and trouble-free lunch.
