Han Rooftop: Korea invites itself to a rooftop overlooking the Eiffel Tower this summer
Perched atop the Guimet Museum, the Han Rooftop offers a unique summer experience combining Korean gastronomy, musical ambience and exceptional views over Paris.
Just a stone’s throw from the Trocadéro, an Asian breeze blows across the rooftops of Paris. The Han Rooftop, atop the Musée National des Arts Asiatiques – Guimet, is the new address not to be missed this summer. More than just a rooftop, it’s a sensory voyage to Korea… without leaving Paris.
Conceived as a suspended bridge between cultures, the space extends over a green terrace with a breathtaking view of the Eiffel Tower. The initiative is part of the museum’s cultural extension, inviting visitors to continue their exploration of Asia by stepping out of the galleries onto the roof. A unique fusion of heritage, modernity and conviviality.
Authentic, generous Korean street food
In charge of the kitchen is chef Young Kyoung Lee, already founder of Misso restaurant, renowned for its faithful approach to Korean cuisine. Han Rooftop offers a gourmet menu inspired by the markets of Seoul: crispy fried chicken, kimbap (Korean makis), revisited hot dogs, fried seafood and vegetarian options. Plates are shared around large, convivial tables, in a relaxed, festive atmosphere.
Musical evenings at the top
Since June 12, the venue comes alive every Thursday, Friday and Saturday night, from 7pm to 11:30pm, with contemporary Asian DJ sets, often featuring female artists. The atmosphere is inclusive, creative and resolutely oriented towards today’s Asia. It’s also the perfect opportunity to sip a cocktail or a Korean iced tea while admiring the sunset over the capital.
The Han Rooftop succeeds in the rare challenge of combining culture, pleasure and a change of scenery, in an emblematic Parisian venue.
