Rouge Premier by Dior: when make-up is adorned with haute joaillerie

For summer 2025, Dior is transforming its cult lipstick into an object of absolute luxury, halfway between cosmetics and precious jewelry.

Halfway between beauty accessory and haute joaillerie, Dior’s Rouge Premier makes a remarkable entry into the world of exceptional make-up. A limited edition designed to become a collector’s item, and even an heirloom.

Unsurprisingly, the House of Dior called on two of its iconic signatures: the make-up expertise of Peter Philips, and the jewelry sensibility of Victoire de Castellane. The result? A sumptuous lipstick whose case and formula embody the ultimate in luxury.

A case sculpted like a jewel

The Rouge Premier design is inspired by the motifs dear to Christian Dior himself. Naturalist symbols are meticulously engraved in a décor of intertwining flowers, leaves and ladybugs. All set with precious stones such as opals, tourmalines, turquoise and diamonds, in a subtle palette of colored lacquers.

More than just make-up, it’s a wearable piece of art, transformable into jewelry thanks to a removable gold chain. The red then becomes a sautoir necklace, to be worn around the neck – a nod to Parisian couture style.

A rare formula for a haute couture mouth

Dior isn’t satisfied with just pretty packaging. The lipstick formula has been completely redesigned. Twelve shades are available, enriched with jojoba oil, hibiscus extract and, above all, 24-carat gold micro-particles. A rich, melting texture that promises luminous results and optimal hold.

This alliance between beauty and precious material resonates as an ultra-luxurious response to today’s times. Where the “lipstick effect” evoked affordable pleasure, Dior chose the precious, long-lasting object.

In Paris as in Saint-Tropez

Unveiled in the house’s private salons in Paris, Rouge Premier will be presented at several exclusive events, including in Dior boutiques on Avenue Montaigne and at Le Bon Marché. It will also be visible on the Riviera, at Dior installations in Saint-Tropez, in the refined world of the ephemeral port boutique.
