Pedone Gelati: the legendary Italian ice cream maker finally opens its first store in Paris

With 60 years of expertise behind it, Italian fashion house Pedone inaugurates its very first Parisian address in the heart of the 1st arrondissement.

For all fans of artisanal Italian gelato, the Parisian summer of 2025 has a new taste: that of Pedone Gelati. Having delighted the finest Parisian tables for decades, the transalpine house is now moving up a gear, setting up shop at 51 rue des Petits-Champs, a stone’s throw from the Palais Royal. The opening is already making passers-by drool, and promises to become a new gourmet landmark in Paris.

A family business with authentic know-how

Founded in 1959 by Pascal Pedone in Charenton-le-Pont, the company has long operated discreetly, delivering its gelati to Parisian gourmet restaurants. Today, his son Christophe Pedone is at the helm, carrying on the family tradition in a physical space designed for the public.

No industrial products here. Our ice creams are made with whole milk, fresh cream, PDO butter, fresh eggs, and noble ingredients such as PGI Bronte pistachio, Syracuse lemon and Madagascar vanilla. No artificial coloring or flavoring.

A menu combining tradition and innovation

In the Pedone boutique, the counter unveils a rainbow of flavors. Unavoidable classics like chocolate, vanilla and apricot, but also more unexpected creations like tomato-basil, gingerbread and black sesame. Each ice cream is turbined by the minute, guaranteeing a dense texture and pure flavor. Best of all, the cones are shaped on demand, right before your eyes.

Generosi: spectacular gourmet pleasure

In addition to ice creams, Pedone Gelati offers a range of signature desserts called Generosi. Conceived with Julien Alvarez (former pastry chef at Ladurée), these creations revisit the great Italian classics in the form of brioche gelato, iced tiramisu and lemon meringue tart. Served warm, these desserts are prepared live: a true culinary spectacle, as delicious to watch as it is to taste.

A fresh, chic address in the heart of Paris

With its sober, luminous frontage, the store invites you to take a gourmet break in a chic, relaxed atmosphere. Whether you settle in for a few minutes or stroll off towards the gardens of the Palais Royal, Pedone Gelati is an essential summer stopover.
