Le Café de la Maison Élysée: The art of French taste
A stone’s throw from the presidential palace, a confidential café combines history, refinement and the art of entertaining. Welcome to Café de la Maison Élysée, a new hybrid between museum and gourmet salon. Far from the hustle and bustle of the Champs-Élysées, this address offers a suspended moment, between republican tradition and the pleasures of the palate.
A décor inspired by the Élysée Palace
Created by designer Sarah Poniatowski (Maison Sarah Lavoine), in collaboration with Mobilier National, the café is dressed in the colors of the Élysée Palace: Murat blue, discreet gilding, noble materials and clean lines. Furniture, lighting, textures… everything here evokes the salons of power without ever falling into pastiche.
With its rare view over the Cour d’Honneur, this chic café reinvents luxury à la française: discreet, symbolic and warm.
A card by Fabrice Desvignes
Behind the stoves, chef Fabrice Desvignes, Meilleur Ouvrier de France and Bocuse d’Or winner, composes an elegant menu inspired by the banquets held at the Élysée Palace. The menu features unique pastries – “Salon Murat”, “Fête de la République”, “Doré Pompidou ” – served with rigor and lightness.
All accompanied by Malongo coffee with notes of licorice and red fruits, artisanal ice creams and Alain Ducasse chocolates. A true gourmet interlude in an exceptional setting.
A sensory and cultural experience
The café is part of an overall visit to Maison Élysée, a new museum space dedicated to the behind-the-scenes workings of the French presidency. The 600 m² space immerses visitors in the rites, objects and gestures of the Republic, before inviting them to extend the experience over a Kusmi tea, an organic juice or a tricolored sablé.
A charming new address
Le Café de la Maison Élysée redefines the Parisian break with elegance and discretion. It’s the perfect address for a refined snack, a quiet lunch or a cultural get-together in a hushed setting. A place that’s already a favorite with lovers of history, design… and fine flavors.
