Em Sherif Café Paris: Lebanese cuisine shines on boulevard Haussmann
Since its opening in May, Em Sherif Café has been delighting us. At 134 boulevard Haussmann, this warm new venue celebrates Lebanese cuisine with refinement and great generosity.
A breeze from the Orient blows through the 8th arrondissement. Em Sherif Café, emblem of the Lebanese art of living, has finally arrived in Paris. Already a cult in Beirut, this address delights taste buds in over 24 cities around the world. In Paris, the project is led by Stéphane and Marc Amine, two Lebanese with a passion for gastronomy, in collaboration with the Em Sherif group.
More than a restaurant, Em Sherif Café is a declaration of love to Lebanon: to its culture, its cuisine, its hospitality. The space, designed by architect Samer Bou Rjeily, blends oriental influences with Parisian touches. The ambience, sometimes hushed, sometimes lively, invites you to linger, converse and, above all, share.
A story of family and transmission
Behind Em Sherif is self-taught founder Mireille Hayek and her daughter Yasmina, a chef trained at the Institut Paul Bocuse. Together, they embody a generous, modern vision of Lebanese cuisine. Yasmina was named Best Chef in the Middle East 2025 by MENA’s 50 Best Restaurants, and received the Michelin Guide’s Young Chef Award.
In Paris, they share their family cuisine, faithful to tradition but enhanced by modern techniques. Each plate is a tribute to Lebanon: colorful mezzes, creamy hummus, crispy falafels, tabbouleh, moutabal, man’ouché with za’atar… All served in a spirit of joyful conviviality, where dishes are passed from hand to hand.
A feast from morning till night
With 135 covers and two beautiful terraces, Em Sherif Café – Paris lends itself equally well to a quick lunch or a large festive table. The menu evolves with the seasons: mint-flavored kafta, shawarma, grilled wagyu or sumac-marinated chicken are among the must-tries. All products are local or imported from Lebanon, and everything is homemade, right down to the breads baked to order.
When it comes to sweets, temptation is everywhere: pistachio baklava, mouhalabieh, rice pudding with orange blossom or the famous ashta ice cream with cotton candy. All accompanied by a glass ofarak or a carefully selected Lebanese wine.
An address that will count in Paris
With this opening, Em Sherif adds his name to the list of exceptional Lebanese restaurants in Paris. The choice of the Haussmann district – a stone’s throw from the Parc Monceau and the grand hotels – is not insignificant: it attracts a cosmopolitan, demanding clientele in search of authenticity and quality.
With its emphasis on emotion, family heritage and gastronomic rigor, Em Sherif Café Paris is perfectly placed in the capital’s culinary landscape.
