Dior celebrates dance at the Galerie Dior
Until the end of September 2025, Galerie Dior, 30 avenue Montaigne, is devoting an entire room to the encounter between fashion and movement. An exhibition that puts dance in the spotlight.
Dance, the common thread running through the exhibition
The scenography devotes an entire room to ballet costumes designed by Christian Dior as early as 1947, for Roland Petit’s Treize Danses.
In parallel, Maria Grazia Chiuri ‘s outfits for contemporary ballets, such as The Brutal Journey of the Heart, choreographed by Sharon Eyal, are on display.
This dialogue between couture tradition and bodily expression highlights the technique of garments in movement: tight-fitting cuts, studied fluidity, airy materials.
A 13-chapter thematic tour
The room dedicated to dance is part of a wider itinerary, divided into 13 sequences:
Jardins, Ateliers, Parfum J’adore, Miss Dior, Bals, Merveilles, etc.
The whole is conceived in an elegant, immersive and non-linear scenography, designed to enhance the archives and the evolution of the House.
Why this exhibition in Paris?
30 avenue Montaigne, Dior’s founding address, is more than a museum: it’s a living place, at the crossroads of creation and history.
With this new exhibition, the Galerie Dior affirms its vocation to bring haute couture and the living arts – dance, theater, music – into dialogue, in a common language of gesture and material.
