Miu Miu tops the Lyst Index 2025: Paris follows the trend closely

The Lyst Index rankings for the second quarter of 2025 have just been released: Miu Miu overtakes Loewe and redefines the codes of luxury. A revealing indicator of fashion desires… even in Paris.

In mid-2025, the Lyst Index, an international fashion barometer, reveals some notable developments in the world of luxury brands. This quarter, Miu Miu takes the top spot, displacing Loewe. The Italian fashion house, a subsidiary of the Prada group, came out on top thanks to the resounding success of its suede loafers, which became the fourth most sought-after product of the season.

In Paris, this renewed interest in Miu Miu is reflected in the shop windows of the Marais and Boulevard Saint-Honoré, where the brand continues to seduce local fashionistas. The craze is not just stylistic: cultural initiatives such as Women’s Tales and Summer Reads are helping to establish the label in a more intellectual dynamic, in tune with the expectations of an increasingly demanding Parisian public.

Change at Loewe: a period of transition

Loewe, though downgraded to second place, remains a much-desired brand. Jonathan Anderson ‘s departure for Dior, made official in March, has not dampened public interest. On the contrary, in Paris, several concept stores such as The Broken Arm and Tom Greyhound are reporting an increase in demand for “Old Loewe” pieces, reflecting a nostalgia effect.

The house is now in the hands of the duo Jack McCollough and Lazaro Hernandez, a transition that is arousing curiosity and expectations. In the capital, buyers are keeping a close eye on the forthcoming collections presented at Paris Fashion Week.

Paris, a showcase for luxury micro-trends

Other strong signals: the return of Burberry to the Top 20, the rise of Chloé under the leadership of Chemena Kamali and the breakthrough of COS, the only mainstream brand in the ranking. Their pieces are snapped up in Paris department stores such as Le Bon Marché and Galeries Lafayette.

Last but not least, shoes dominate the product ranking with six out of ten models, a phenomenon also seen on Parisian pavements, between technical Vibrams and Isabel Marant sneakers.
