Bleu de Chanel L’Exclusif: the new men’s version unveiled in Paris

Chanel reinvents its iconic fragrance Bleu with a more intense version, Bleu de Chanel L’Exclusif. A highly anticipated strategic release in Parisian perfumeries.

Launched 15 years ago, Bleu de Chanel has become one of the pillars of contemporary men’s fragrance. In 2025, the Parisian House enriches its range with Bleu de Chanel L’Exclusif, a more powerful and refined variation imagined by Olivier Polge, Chanel’s Parfumeur-Créateur. Worked like an extract, this new juice intensifies thewoody-amber architecture of the original fragrance.

The heart of this creation is sandalwood, a note that Chanel now cultivates in its own gardens. Cedar, another of the fragrance’s flagship ingredients, reinforces the aromatic structure, while amber accords bring an assertive sensuality. The result is a denser yet balanced trail that retains the elegant, contemporary DNA of Bleu.

A controlled strategy

With this new product, Chanel continues to exploit its “flanker” strategy: to offer an iconic fragrance in several versions to appeal to different audiences. Bleu de Chanel already exists in eau de toilette, eau de parfum, perfume and derivative products (shower gel, deodorant, etc.). This exclusive iteration enriches the palette, without breaking the aesthetic line.

In terms of design, the bottle retains its sober, sophisticated look, in deep blue glass with clean lines. In Paris, Chanel boutiques in the Marais and rue Cambon, as well as the Flagship Beauté at 52 avenue des Champs-Élysées, will offer this edition from late summer.

Timothée Chalamet, a new face for a new era

Since 2023, Timothée Chalamet has embodied Chanel’s Bleu campaign. The Franco-American actor succeeds Gaspard Ulliel, who tragically passed away in 2022, and who was the image of the fragrance for over a decade. This change marks a desire to modernize the brand, in line with a more international youth.

This release reinforces Paris ‘ position as the world’s perfume capital, and confirms that Chanel intends to remain the leader in the men’s market in the face of increasing competition.
