What will really surprise you at Maison&Objet Paris, autumn 2025

From September 5 to 9, 2025, Maison&Objet returns to Paris with an edition that promises much more than just decorating trends.

Every autumn, the show imposes its vision of the art of living and thrills professionals and the curious alike. This year, more than ever, it surprises with its creativity, immersive scenography and powerful aesthetic choices. On the program: new energies, new names and new formats that will shake up the codes of the home.

A redesigned route and inspiring spaces

Maison&Objet 2025 is now structured around six major universes, designed to offer a more intuitive and sensorial visit. The “Cook & Share” sector is now reserved for the September editions, to showcase the richness of tableware. Furniture, textiles, decorative objects and scents are displayed in more refined settings, highlighting materials, lines and uses. The Design District is home to the young talents of the moment, brought together under the artistic direction of the Hall Haus studio. Here, you’ll come across committed, conceptual and handcrafted pieces, always with a focus on storytelling. As for the “Future on Stage” space, it unveils three carefully selected emerging brands to keep a close eye on.

A theme of dreams, design and illusion

This year’s theme, “Sur/Reality”, celebrates Surrealism one hundred years after the publication of André Breton’s manifesto. The entrance to the show is transformed into a life-size cabinet of curiosities, combining plant life, optical illusions and scale effects. The scenography prompts us to question the real, the imaginary and the impact of design on our emotions. Some installations play with light, while others are immersive and digital. We move between dreamlike forests, sensitive materials and hijacked artistic references. Far from being a simple product catalog, Maison&Objet becomes a true sensory experience, designed to inspire, amaze and provoke.

Strong, subtle and desirable trends

This season, earthy tones, raw textures and generous shapes dominate the collections. Brown is back in force, from deep caramel to more rustic brown. Stripes are reinvented in XXL versions, bold or minimalist, on upholstery or wallpaper. Indian floral prints, animal motifs and vibrant graphics make their presence felt in the details. Handcrafted objects, signed or in limited series, seduce with their narrative power and their link to know-how. Woody fragrances and natural materials such as travertine and washed linen confirm the return to a soothing, contemporary and lively home. Maison&Objet 2025 confirms its position as a benchmark that shapes rather than follows desires.
