Victoria Beckham unveils her first foundation: an intimate story transformed into a creation
British designer Victoria Beckham launches The Foundation Drops, a light, innovative foundation designed as a response to her own history of skin problems.
Victoria Beckham ‘s summer was not only synonymous with family vacations in Miami. Behind the screens and intensive work sessions, the designer had been fine-tuning a secret project for several years: her very first foundation, soberly named The Foundation Drops.
Conceived as a major milestone for Victoria Beckham Beauty, this launch is not just another product on the market: it embodies a personal return and a deep creative commitment.
A foundation designed for lightness
Unveiled in the columns of British Vogue, this foundation comes in fluid, easy-to-mix drops. The aim: to deliver a naturally flawless complexion, with no masking effect. ” We created The Foundation Drops for makeup minimalists like me,” explains Victoria Beckham.
The formula is based on Augustinus Bader’s TFC8 technology, renowned for its skincare effectiveness, and combines ingredients with targeted virtues: olive leaf extract to strengthen the skin barrier, and spilanthes flower to smooth and soothe. An approach that blurs the boundaries between make-up and skincare.
A response to a painful past
Behind this launch also lies a more intimate story. Victoria Beckham has long suffered from skin problems, to the point of losing confidence in herself. ” There was a time when you couldn’t slip a pin between the pimples on my face,” she confides. For years, she tried to hide her imperfections under thick foundation, feeling as if she were “wearing a mask”.
With The Foundation Drops, she proposes the opposite: a light, natural product designed to restore confidence rather than conceal it. A choice that makes this launch one of the most symbolic of her career.
