IKEA x Gustaf Westman: a festive pop table for Christmas 2025

The VINTERFINT collection by IKEA and Gustaf Westman revisits Christmas traditions with humor and bright colors. Available in stores from September 9, 2025.

With its new VINTERFINT collection, IKEA proves that it’s never too early to start thinking about the holidays. And this year, the Swedish brand has invited star designer Gustaf Westman to imagine a series of decorative objects and tableware that are as pop as they are functional. The result? A festive line, mischievous and uninhibited, which overturns the classic codes of New Year’s Eve.

The name Gustaf Westman is bound to ring a bell. Creator of the famous wavy mirror that has gone viral on Instagram, he embodies a generation of Scandinavian designers who play with shapes, materials and color without ever taking themselves too seriously. Just this summer, he took up residence in an apartment between the Marais and Sentier districts, in partnership with Kindred, to present his flagship pieces to the Parisian public.

A colorful, quirky Christmas

The first piece to be unveiled is a turquoise dumpling plate, designed for the famous Swedish köttbullar, an emblem of IKEA restaurants. The wink is clever, especially as each cavity is designed to put the dumplings “on a throne”. But you’re free to add chocolates, sushi or even olives. The object, sold with a cooking instructions sheet, combines utilitarian design and culinary fantasy.

The rest of the collection follows the same logic: swirling pink vases, melting photophores, foot candleholders, egg-shaped lamps, all in bright shades of electric blue, red, bright green and candy pink. A visual universe far removed from the traditional Christmas imaginary, but one that invites a freer, more joyful celebration – and one that’s very Instagrammable.

An eagerly awaited collab

Launched worldwide on September 9, VINTERFINT follows in the footsteps of great IKEA collaborations, such as VARMBLIXT with Sabine Marcelis or the cult line by Virgil Abloh. In other words, you’ll need to be reactive: some pieces may disappear from the shelves as quickly as they arrived.
