“Living a work of art”: Le Meurice’s Suite 1835, between heritage and future

The legendary Parisian palace Le Meurice inaugurates an exceptional suite that transforms a stay into an immersive performance. Suite 1835 illustrates the ability of a historic hotel to reinvent itself. It offers a rare promise: to sleep inside a work of art, a fusion of memory and innovation.

A hybrid space

Le Meurice intends to redefine luxury with Suite 1835, a temporary installation open from October 8 to December 31, 2025. It’s not just a suite, but a hybrid space, halfway between art gallery, meditation studio and sensory venue. The project is the result of a collaboration between the duo Things From, Géraldine Boublil & Jessica Solnicki and the Isska studio. Made-to-measure furniture lights up in response to guests’ movements, guiding them through the room. An aluminum carpet integrates light and sound; an adjoining room becomes a meditation space, dominated by a mirrored cube broadcasting images generated by AI according to the energy of the place. An immersive experience in the intimacy of a palace

Located on the sixth floor, the suite is divided into three rooms: a living room, a bedroom and a meditation area. The furniture, handcrafted from wood, marble and bronze, combines innovation and noble materials. Elements discreetly evoke thehistory of Le Meurice – touches of green responding to the traditional palette, a bronze screen inspired by a jewel motif, etc. The experience is conceived as an interior walk: light, sound and materials interact with the visitor’s body and mind. In the contemplative room, the mirror cube reacts and changes according to time and presence. A quadraphonic sound system synchronized to the light frequencies enhances immersion. An exclusive room service accompanies the overnight stay, with a limited menu designed to harmonize with the atmosphere. Please note: part of the profits are donated to the Ensaama art school, in support of young talent.
