Munch: bagels and New York street food with a French twist

Since the start of the new school year, a New York wind has been blowing through Paris’s 17ᵉ arrondissement. Munch – Bagels & Coffee has opened its doors on rue des Dames, bringing with it the art of the bagel. This Brooklyn-style coffee shop revisits New York street food à la française, with artisanal know-how and carefully sourced products.

Crisp, airy sourdough bagels

At Munch , the bagel is refined. Made with organic French flour and natural sourdough, they offer a unique texture: golden crust, soft, light crumb. Garnished with smoked trout, fragrant labneh, matured beef or seasonal vegetables, savoury bagels are accompanied by an excellent filtered coffee or homemade kombucha. On the sweet side, the creations are not to be outdone: bagel filled with praline cream and crushed hazelnuts, or a honey and fresh fruit version, a nod to Paris-Brest revisited as “Paris-New York”. The balance between crunchy, melt-in-your-mouth softness makes every bite a trip between Manhattan and Batignolles!

A specialty coffee to accompany

To accompany these delights, Munch offers specialty coffee, carefully selected to sublimate the flavors of the bagels. Whether you’re a fan of filtered coffee or more original beverages like homemade kombucha, every sip is an invitation to prolong the pleasure.

Clean lines and a warm ambience

Munch’s decor reflects its concept: uncluttered, bathed in light, with a touch of Brooklyn spirit. The space is designed to offer a pleasant experience, whether for a quick breakfast, lunch on the go or a gourmet afternoon break.
