Thoiry Lumières Sauvages 2025-2026: immerse yourself in a special Halloween Spirit Ball

When the Thoiry wildlife park lights up to evoke spirits, between mystery and enchantment. The 2025-2026 edition of Thoiry Lumières Sauvages adopts the theme of the Bal des Esprits, a universe that explores the rituals of mourning, tutelary figures and bridges between the living and the dead. The zoological park and its gardens undergo a metamorphosis after nightfall: handcrafted lanterns, light sculptures and an immersive soundscape guide visitors on a mystical journey. This 8ᵉ edition takes place from October 17, 2025 to March 8, 2026, in the nocturnal setting of Thoiry Park.

A sensory and symbolic experience

The route takes in around 2 kilometers of illuminated paths, spread across the castle gardens and botanical park. Nearly 2,500 handmade lanterns, covered in silk, depict animals, mythological figures and symbols of memory. The whole is immersed in cultural universes linked to funerary traditions.
Each luminous scene is accompanied by a soundtrack of music, murmurs and distant voices, reinforcing the dreamlike atmosphere. The theme of Le Bal des Esprits imposes a common thread: nature spirits, ancestors and invisible beings. They cross paths, and the park’s animals sometimes become symbolic guides on this spiritual journey. The park also promises visual surprises – lighting effects that focus on ecology and respect for the environment.
