Christmas 2025 at Galeries Lafayette Paris Haussmann: news, program and dates to remember

Every winter, when Galeries Lafayette Paris Haussmann lights up, the whole of Paris is enchanted. For Christmas 2025, there’s no shortage of new ideas! The department store has entrusted its artistic direction to Jeanne Detallante, a singularly talented illustrator renowned for her flamboyant, surrealist universes. Other surprises will enchant Parisians… Here’s the program and dates to remember.

The magic of Jeanne Detallante on boulevard Haussmann

Jeanne Detallante‘s works, imbued with poetry and retro refinement, have already seduced the houses of Prada, Carven, Hermès and Miu Miu. From November 12, 2025 to January 4, 2026, Jeanne Detallante reinvents the festive tradition with a touch of the imaginary and the marvellous. In her windows and in the Coupole, her vibrant style brings to life a Christmas full of wonder, inspired by a tale where art, fantasy and childhood become one.

An enchanted workshop and a monumental Christmas tree

On Boulevard Haussmann, the shop windows are transformed into a magical workshop where elves, baby elephants, Santa Claus and ducks in boots are at work. Jeanne Detallante delved into the Galeries Lafayette archives to create an enchanted factory that pays tribute to the store’s decorative arts and heritage. Each painting tells a fragment of a story: here, elves wrap presents, there, a banquet comes to life under the garlands. True to her colorful, baroque style, the artist blends exuberance, humor and tenderness. Her world extends to the store’s gift wrapping paper and bags, transforming every purchase into an enchanted souvenir. Beneath the listed Coupole, the 16-metre Christmas tree is an imposing sight. Adorned with spectacular ribbons (560 kilos!), 8 kilometers of LED garlands and 300 kilos of fabric, it sparkles with illustrations by Jeanne Detallante and is a work of art in its own right.

Gourmet Christmas and exceptional gifts

The enchantment continues inside, where gift ideas and sweet treats vie with each other in creativity. Chef Cyril Lignac installs an original Marshmallow Bear bar, available in dark, milk, dulcey, praline, matcha or raspberry chocolate – the perfect spot for sweet tooths. As for elegance, Barrie unveils its cashmere creations, a timeless item to slip under the tree. And because no Parisian Christmas is complete without exceptional logs, the Comptoir Gourmet des Galeries presents logs by Pierre Hermé, Philippe Conticini, Cyril Lignac and Lenôtre: praline, vanilla pecan, marron glacé or daring creations, each dessert is enjoyed like an edible work of art.

And the long-awaited big news …

Shh, don’t repeat it too loudly: this year, an ephemeral ice rink will be set up on the Galeries Lafayette rooftop. It will offer a breathtaking view over the rooftops of Paris and the glittering Eiffel Tower. An experience as magical as it is unusual, which promises to become the new holiday ritual in Paris. Christmas 2025 at Galeries Lafayette? More than just a rendezvous, an enchanted escapade of enchantment, magic and gourmet delights.
