JADE GENIN takes up residence under the dome of Galeries Lafayette Paris Haussmann

Maison Jade Genin places its sculpted chocolates in a legendary Parisian setting. The Parisian designer, whose background is in the world of chocolate, takes over Galeries Lafayette Paris Haussmann for the first time: from November 12 to January 12, her creations will be presented on the 4th floor under the dome. This pop-up unites two symbols of Paris: an emblematic department store and a chocolate house that asserts its identity.

Jade Genin’s background

Jade Genin grew up in the workshop of her father, chocolatier Jacques Genin: “Dad always got me involved: coating chocolate, making a bar…” she confides. After studying law at the Sorbonne and a spell as an M&A lawyer, she decided to change course and return to her first love: chocolate! In 2022, she opened her own chocolate factory at 33 avenue de l’Opéra in Paris: a place combining workshop and boutique, with her signature “pyramidions “, small pyramid-shaped chocolates inspired by the Concorde obelisk or the Louvre pyramid. She applies a demanding savoir-faire: no additives, no artificial flavors, highly dosed pralines, vegetable textures, cocoa of Honduran origin.

The event at Galeries Lafayette

Under the glass roof of Galeries Lafayette Paris Haussmann, Maison Jade Genin will be offering limited-edition creations. Among them, the winter 2025 creation ” Mirage “, inspired by the Louvre pyramid. This collection will be available in special colors for Boulevard Haussmann. Also new is the ” Ondes ” bar, inspired by the movement of the Seine. These chocolates are filled with pistachio praline and caramelized crêpe dentelle chips. The workshop and its chocolates are set in a décor designed by Khaled Kolsi. The designer revisits the space under the glass roof to bring out the gourmet Parisian aesthetic.

Symbolizing this approach, the “Pyramidions” take their shape from the tip of the Concorde obelisk, reflecting a quest for balance and elegance. The fragrances on offer are off the beaten track. These varieties testify to the chef’s curiosity: chocolate with Zaatar, coriander and Thai basil, or wild chamomile flower. All taste experiences that recount her travels, her memories and her quest for sensoriality.
