The magic of Christmas once again invites itself to the legendary Place Vendôme, ready to shine brightly for the festive season. The Comité Vendôme will inaugurate its illuminations on Wednesday, November 19, 2025, for an enchantment that will last until January 12, 2026. In the middle of winter, strolling through this historic district, at the heart of Parisian luxury, becomes an enchanting ritual: the lights, shop windows and soft evening atmosphere transform every stroll into a veritable fairytale interlude.

A Parisian jewel sublimated by the festive season

A true jewel of our heritage, Place Vendôme is famous for its 44-metre-high Vendôme column, erected in tribute to the soldiers of Austerlitz. Once again this year, eight giant fir trees take pride of place in the four corners of the square, framing the column and capturing all eyes. The facades of prestigious brands, such as Chanel, are illuminated with refinement, and a shower of stars sparkles on the hotels and boutiques lining the square. Luminous arches complete the decor, giving the square a unique glow, a symbol of Parisian elegance in December.

A magical stroll through the streets

From theOpéra Garnier to the Tuileries, every step is an enchantment. As you cross Rue de la Paix, Rue de Castiglione, Rue Saint-Honoré, Rue des Capucines and Rue du Faubourg Saint-Honoré, you’ll discover three-meter-high Christmas trees decorated with loving care and eight illuminated crossings floating above the arteries. Window displays compete in creativity and elegance, and the scent of hot chestnuts and Christmas delicacies envelops the stroll. It’s the ideal itinerary to feel the heartbeat of Paris at Christmas, with its blend of luxury, history and enchantment.

Gourmet suggestions to enhance your walk

To prolong the pleasure, a detour to Galeries Lafayette Gourmet where macaroons, chocolates and Christmas specialties offer a foretaste of the festive season. More intimate, Le Comptoir du Ritz offers its famous madeleines, light and golden, perfect with a Grand Cru coffee. For a chic, poetic break, the Salon de Thé Le Proust at the Ritz invites you to savor teas and pastries in a refined setting, facing the hotel’s festive decorations.
