What if we celebrated the festive season at Place de la Madeleine, in a precious pink and gold setting that embraces its gourmet credentials? At Grand Café Fauchon, you can savor Christmas from December 1 to January 5, with festive menus, hot chocolates and sparkling cocktails.

A gourmet showcase facing the Madeleine

Located on the first floor of Fauchon L’Hôtel Paris, the Grand Café Fauchon with its powder-pink banquettes and touches of gold, faces theMadeleine church. The heated terrace offers a view of the ballet of passers-by, while inside, the light reflects off the marble and brass. The address attracts a Parisian and international clientele, who come as much for the spirit of the Fauchon house as for its sophisticated festive cuisine.
Here, the art of living is combined with the desire to please: continuous service, generous plates, meticulous desserts and, in the background, the gourmet signature that has made the house’s reputation. For Christmas in Paris, this is one of the restaurants where people come to dine as much as to get into the festive spirit.

A holiday menu of nuances

From December 1ᵉʳ, 2025 to January 5, 2026, the Grand Café Fauchon Holiday Menu (€90 per person) features the great seasonal classics, worked with precision. In four sequences, the meal unfolds a true gourmet narrative.

We start with Normandy sc allops on a bed of pumpkin, enhanced by FAUCHON flower honey for a subtle sweetness. Next comes a delicately cooked trout fillet from Baigorri, topped with FAUCHON Rosé Champagne beurre blanc, which plays on a fresh, festive register.

The main course features a duck breast from Ferme Jean Sarthe, generously flavored with black truffle. The meat, pink and melt-in-the-mouth, is the embodiment of this reassuring yet meticulous festive cuisine. The finale is all about gourmet delights, with a melting FAUCHON buckwheat caramel apple, accompanied by a tatin-style ice cream: a plate reminiscent of a family home dessert, revisited with elegance.

Christmas, December 25 and New Year’s Eve on December 31: three highlights

Here, the major events of the calendar take on a very Parisian flavour. The Christmas Eve Dinner, on December 24, unfolds in five refined sequences (€170 per person). The Christmas spirit of the Grand Café Fauchon can be found here: fine products, elaborate sauces and careful preparation, in a warm, cosy atmosphere.

The December 25 lunch (€130 per person) features four generous sequences, perfect for a meal with family or friends, overlooking the Madeleine in the winter light.

Last but not least, the New Year’s Eve dinner on December 31 offers a gastronomic voyage in five sequences (€190 per person) for a festive and delicate New Year’s Eve in Paris. The place lends itself equally well to a tête-à-tête or a small table of friends, with the promise of attentive service right through to the New Year.

Hot chocolate, sparkling cocktails and seasonal sweets

Beyond the menus, the address becomes a true winter gourmet refuge. The Christmas menu features foie gras and seafood, in a spirit of sharing. A special mention goes to Chocolat Chaud Fauchon, thick, unctuous and intensely fragrant, the perfect accompaniment to a winter afternoon on the terrace or at the bar.
Two exclusive cocktail creations make the menu sparkle: the elegant and sparkling Étoile de l’Éden plays on fresh, fruity notes in a golden robe that catches the light; the Nectar des Anges evokes a winter garden, with its warm, slightly spicy nuances and rosy highlights. A perfect way to extend the evening after dinner, or to treat yourself to a very Parisian aperitif.

A nice walk around the Quartier Madeleine

La Madeleine Church in Paris. Paris, France

One of the pleasures of celebrating Christmas in Paris at Le Grand Café Fauchon is what happens once you step through the door. In just a few minutes, you’re on your way to Place de la Madeleine, with its elaborate lighting and festively-dressed shop windows. Heading down to Place de la Concorde, you can see the Ferris wheel, the view of the Tuileries gardens and, in the distance, the glittering Eiffel Tower.
