Emily in Paris (season 5): 10 Paris addresses + 1-day chic & spicy itinerary

Crédit photo © Paris Select Book

Walking around Paris like in Emily in Paris, without falling into caricature: a well-paced day, cinematic settings, and that light elegance that makes everything seem so simple.

The series films a Paris that’s tightly framed, almost unreal. And yet, if you respect the right tempo (and, above all, the light), the city plays along: you pick out a few streets, linger at the right moment, then disappear before the crowd.

Itinerary in brief (1 day, zero detours)

  • 09h00 – Latin Quarter (5th): Place de l’Estrapade → Boulangerie Moderne → Terra Nera
  • 12:30 – Palais Royal (1st): Jardin du Palais-Royal → Buren columns
  • 4:00 pm – Seine (1st/6th): Pont des Arts → Quai de Conti
  • 6:00 pm – Golden hour: Alexandre III Bridge
  • 8:00 pm – Final: Opéra Garnier (outside) → Le Train Bleu (dinner)

Morning: Paris en version confidentielle (09:00 – 11:30 a.m.)

Place de l’Estrapade – the “apartment” setting

At 9 a.m., the Latin Quarter is still slowly awakening. The Place de l’Estrapade is an early sight to behold: wise facades, rare silence, and that feeling that Paris belongs to you for two minutes.

Tip Paris Select: it’s residential. Quick photo, discreet attitude – that’s true chic.

Boulangerie Moderne – the “main character” croissant

A stone’s throw away, the Boulangerie Moderne gives you the perfect alibi: a warm croissant to take away, and morning light that makes Paris seem almost graphic.

Tip: take away + walk a few minutes → you get taste + decor + photo.

Terra Nera – the “Gabriel” ambience

Terra Nera is as much to look at as it is to consume: a facade, a street, an atmosphere. You pass by, take in the scenery, save your timing for what comes next.

Tip: if you want to land there another day, aim for the start of service or reserve.

Lunch: Palais Royal, effortless elegance (12:30 pm – 3:00 pm)

Jardin du Palais-Royal – chic calm in the center of it all

The garden is immediately soothing: clean paths, green benches, hushed rhythm. It’s “mastered” Paris, perfect for taking a breather without losing the vibe.

Tip: here, style comes down to detail: slow gait, no rushing.

Buren columns – the “fashion” (minimalist) photo

Paris Select version: don’t overdo it. A silhouette, a movement, a simple framing. The photo almost takes care of itself.

Tip: let the architecture do the work (and avoid “too Instagram 2016” poses).

Afternoon: Paris like a film (4:00 pm – 6:30 pm)

Pont des Arts – calibrated romanticism

The Seine becomes your best-case scenario. Pont des Arts always works, especially when the light starts to fade.

Tip: walk slowly. Paris rewards those who take their time.

Quai de Conti – the natural sequence shot

Walking along the Quai de Conti, everything seems fluid, choreographed and obvious. It’s effortless “cinema” Paris.

Tip: late afternoon = more beautiful reflections, more “filmy” photos.

Golden hour : Alexandre III Bridge (6:00 pm – 7:00 pm)

The gilding lights up at sunset. Pont Alexandre III isn’t “beautiful”: it’s indecent. And that’s exactly why we come.

Tip: weekdays + sunset. Weekend = casting.

Evening: the Belle Époque touch (7:30 pm – 10:30 pm)

Opéra Garnier – the staging (even without entering)

Even without a visit, the outside is enough: you arrive, look up, Paris does the rest.

Tip: make an “entry”. Here, drama is allowed.

Le Train Bleu – the perfect finale

Banquettes, painted ceilings, old-fashioned service: Le Train Bleu closes the day like a last act. Generous, almost theatrical decor.

Tip: reservation recommended + request a table in the most spectacular room.
