The Paris ball calendar: when the Hôtel de la Marine brings history to life with music

In Paris, certain evenings have the rare ability to combine elegance, heritage and art de vivre. The Bals de l’Hôtel de la Marine are undoubtedly among them. For the fourth year running, Carnet de Bals takes over this exceptional venue to bring back to life, for an evening, the great hours of French history. Facing the majestic Place de la Concorde, these balls are now firmly anchored in the Parisian cultural landscape.

Every last Friday of the month, theHôtel de la Marine is transformed into a vast dance floor, open to all. In this spectacular setting, between historic salons and monumental perspectives, dance becomes a universal language, accessible, joyful and deeply unifying.

Balls open to all, from initiation to the pleasure of dancing

One of the great strengths of these balls is their accessibility. No previous experience is required. Each evening begins with a free introductory session, with no need to book, so that everyone can take the plunge with confidence. The steps are explained, the rhythms tamed, and very quickly, the magic happens. We dance together, guided by the music and the collective energy.

Costumes are welcome, but never compulsory. Some arrive wearing period dresses, a frac or a simple accessory, while others prefer contemporary sobriety. It’s all about the pleasure of movement, conviviality and the unique sensation of dancing in a place steeped in history.

It’s this diversity that makes the event so rich, giving each event its own unique atmosphere.

The upcoming calendar promises some great historical escapes.
