The Suite Haute Couture by Isabelle Huppert reinvents itself at the Mandarin Oriental Lutetia
In the heart of the Left Bank, at the Mandarin Oriental Lutetia, a suite imagined with Isabelle Huppert unveils new rooms. On the hotel’s sixth floor, the Suite Haute Couture by Isabelle Huppert looks less like a hotel room than a Parisian apartment. Light floods in through windows opening onto the rooftops of the Left Bank. Designed by architect and designer Jean-Michel Wilmotte, this suite has been celebrating the actress’s world since 2021. Today, it is enriched by new pieces chosen with care, like fragments of her imagination.
Here, everything evokes the allure of Isabelle Huppert: a precise elegance, almost austere at times, softened by a very French touch of glamour. Contemporary furnishings and personal artworks create a hushed atmosphere. You’ll feel as if you’re in the home of a friend with a passion for literature and cinema.
A library in the image of the actress

Isabelle Huppert’s choice of books is followed by a number of inviting readings. These include Sylvia Plath’s La Cloche de détresse, Philip Roth’s Professeur de désir, Simone de Beauvoir’s Mémoires d’une jeune fille rangée and Thomas Mann’s La Montagne magique.
These texts span the century, questioning freedom, intimacy and solitude. A play completes the selection: Beaumarchais’ The Barber of Seville, a brilliant comedy that recalls the actress’ taste for the great voices of the repertoire.
In the room, new photographs by Eric Guillemain extend this sensitive portrait. Taken at the Lutetia, they show a more intimate Isabelle Huppert, captured in the hotel’s gentle atmosphere.
A Balenciaga dress as centerpiece
In the living room, one garment immediately catches the eye. It is the Balenciaga dress designed by Demna for Isabelle Huppert and worn at the Cannes Festival 2025. Displayed like a work of art, the piece mixes a long skirt with an upcycled denim jacket.
The design alone sums up the spirit of the suite: contemporary, free-spirited couture that never stands still. Set against a backdrop of Walter Knoll furniture, the silhouette dialogues with the sober lines of the architecture designed by Jean-Michel Wilmotte.
Here, fashion becomes an object of contemplation, almost a suspended memory. As if the room held the echo of a red carpet.
A soundtrack to accompany your stay

La Suite Haute Couture by Isabelle Huppert doesn’t just look at itself. She also listens. The actress has created a playlist to accompany the experience.
We hear Jacques Brel’sNe me quitte pas, the Rolling Stones ‘ Wild Horses and Barbara’sL’Aigle noir. The sensuality of Louis Armstrong’s La Vie en rose rubs shoulders with the energy of Queen’s Somebody to Love. A few opera arias round off the set, such as Giacomo Puccini’s O mio babbino caro.

A final detail dear to Isabelle Huppert’s heart: the program of the Christine Cinéma Club, an art-house cinema she loves. A way of extending the stay in a discreet dialogue between cinema, music, literature and couture.
