The “Dior egg”: the haute couture creation that caused a sensation in Paris

As Easter approaches, haute couture invites itself into the world of gastronomy with a chocolate creation by Dior. Much more than a simple chocolate egg, this “Dior egg” is a truly exceptional piece combining art, pastry-making know-how and couture heritage. Inspired by the emblematic codes of the house founded by Christian Dior, this gourmet jewel has already established itself as one of the most coveted creations of the Easter season in Paris. An object as refined as it is desirable, destined for lovers of luxury and chocolate sweets.

A creation imagined by Yannick Alléno

For the 2026 edition, Maison Dior unveils a brand-new version of its Easter egg, designed in collaboration with multi-starred chef Yannick Alléno. This new creation continues the tradition of gastronomic collaborations initiated by the House, transforming the Easter egg into a veritable chocolate sculpture. The aim: to marry the aesthetics of couture with the demands of haute pâtisserie.

A design inspired by the Dior heritage

Visually, the egg captivates with its sculptural silhouette and aesthetic vocabulary directly inspired by Dior’s heritage. The egg features the Dior medallion and signature bow, delicately reproduced on the chocolate surface. Made in dark and white chocolate, the ensemble plays on contrasts and textures, reflecting the timeless elegance that characterizes the Parisian label.

Inside, the experience continues with a selection of bite-sized chocolates featuring some of the company’s iconic motifs: cannage, couture buttons and the initials “CD”. The flavors are both subtle and gourmet: roasted hazelnuts, sanded almonds, puffed rice praline and sobacha crunch make up a particularly rich palette of textures. A balance between gastronomic refinement and pastry creativity.

A Parisian experience of luxury and art de vivre

Presented for the first time in the Jardin du 30 Montaigne, in the heart of the house’s historic Paris address, this exceptional egg goes beyond simple gourmet delights. It embodies a certain idea of French art de vivre, where fashion, gastronomy and design come together in the same experience. A creation designed to appeal to an international clientele in search of rare objects and unique experiences.

The “Dior egg” is a veritable work of pastry art, celebrating both the spirit of Easter and the meeting of haute cuisine and haute couture.
