Pépite bakery in the 11th district wins the Grand Paris 2026 best sandwich competition
The third edition of the ” Best Sandwich in Greater Paris ” competition has just announced its winners, and Parisian artisans can savor their success. No fewer than 5 Parisian addresses feature in the top 10, including the top two places. Enough to delight gourmets looking for a quality lunch break.
A competition to promote artisan bakeries
Organized by the Syndicat des boulangers du Grand Paris, the competition was launched two years ago. Today, it’s a must-attend event for finding the right places to stop for a successful lunch break. This year, 41 candidates from all over the Paris region competed against each other.
Participating artisans had to present 9 individual sandwiches: 3 identical meat, 3 fish and 3 vegetarian. Each piece was touched and tasted by the jury, who assessed the quality of the bread and fillings. In this way, the best were able to stand out for their expertise.
The competition follows in the footsteps of other bakery competitions, such as Best Paris Baguette or Best Butter Croissant. As a result, it helps to highlight the excellence of these craft trades.
“It’s the latest in a long line of culinary competitions dedicated to bakeries.
