Why is Loulou Pirate a cult address on the Riviera?
It’s a rebirth that smells of the sea, glitter and driftwood. With Loulou Pirate, the Loulou group revives a legendary address between Monaco and Menton, perched on the rocks of Roquebrune-Cap-Martin.
A legendary haunt, reinvented
Formerly known as Le Pirate, this iconic venue was home to some of the biggest stars of the 60s and 70s: Brigitte Bardot, Frank Sinatra, Gina Lollobrigida, Roger Moore, Johnny Hallyday…. They all came here to enjoy crayfish, bass with dill or wood-fired Chateaubriand, in an atmosphere that blended shirtless chic, earrings and sunset.
Today, the Loulou group takes up the torch with its consummate art of summer lifestyle: chic without arrogance, festive without excess. After Paris, Ramatuelle and Val d’Isère, this new address completes their constellation of elegant and cheerful places to live.
A Dolce Vita version of a fisherman’s hut
Accessible by car or private boat, Loulou Pirate resembles a movie set. Wooden decks, a giant pine umbrella mat, candlelight– everything is designed to evoke a seafaring escapade from another time. In the evening, the place becomes almost unreal, with warm lounges, immaculate tablecloths and subdued lighting.
On the menu, the spirit is true to the land: small Niçois stuffings, grilled fish, Provençal vegetables and local rosés punctuate evenings overlooking the Mediterranean. All served in an atmosphere that’s both family-friendly and festive, punctuated by live concerts and well-balanced cocktails.
Loulou Pirate or the return of a forgotten art of living
More than a restaurant, Loulou Pirate is a sensory experience. We come here for lunch in the sun, to dance barefoot under the stars, or simply to dream by the sea.
Loulou Pirate is the Riviera as we imagine it. Mythical, solar, and furiously desirable.
