Le Jardin du Trianon: street gastronomy in Versailles

A breath of fresh air blows through the Trianon Palace. With its Jardin du Trianon, the Waldorf Astoria Versailles marks a summer of palace-style street gastronomy.

An original concept combining refinement and relaxation

As soon as summer arrives, Le Jardin du Trianon reinvents itself as a summer culinary scene in the heart of the Waldorf Astoria Versailles park. Conceived as a tribute to luxury street food, this open-air restaurant combines gastronomic creativity, musical ambience and bucolic surroundings.

The driving force behind this revival is Executive Chef Frédéric Larquemin, who orchestrates a menu that is as masterful as it is daring. His challenge? To sublimate simple products with a palatial touch, without ever betraying the spirit of sharing and spontaneity that is the hallmark of street food.

A menu full of flavours and surprises

Classics revisited with flair: the Trianon Burger with home fries, the poultry club sandwich and the smoked salmon bagel sit alongside summer’s most elegant lobster rolls. Special mention goes to the tuna tataki with mango and radish pickles, and the refreshing gazpacho of seasonal vegetables.

On the sweet side, Pastry Chef Eddie Benghanem celebrates summer indulgence with his handcrafted “Comme un pot glacé” ice creams. Among our favorite flavors? Raspberry Melon, deliciously refreshing, and Dulce de Caramel, absolutely gourmet. For desserts, we’ll succumb to the desserts glacés or the caramel cheesecake, to be enjoyed under the trees.

And to accompany this summer menu? A selection of cocktails inspired by street food, designed by Thomas Roy, the palace’s Head Barman. Highlights include the Pop & Pear (popcorn syrup, pear and Perrier), or the Street Spice with mezcal and candied bell pepper. For thrill-seekers: the bacon-infused Old Fashioned. And for the more discerning, the Marie-Antoinette, a pear and rose mocktail that lives up to its name.

Live music & garden party: Saturday festivities

Le Jardin du Trianon offers more than just terrace service. Every Thursday, Friday and Saturday evening, live music sessions electrify the tables, transforming the place into a veritable garden party chic. A sunny atmosphere, a carefully thought-out playlist, and the elegance of a palace… in a relaxed summer version.

A sensory experience at the heart of the Domaine de Versailles

With its view of century-old trees and intimate atmosphere, Le Jardin du Trianon offers a rare escape, just a few steps from the castle’s avenues. The setting is idyllic, the tables far apart, the service discreet. We come here to taste, to stroll, to listen and, above all, to savor the moment.
