Quentin, the winner of Top Chef 2025, has not said his last word…
It’s official: Quentin, winner of season 16 of Top Chef, is setting up his culinary universe… on water. After a high-voltage final, he has made an unexpected gastronomic stop: a barge moored in Asnières, designed by Les Bistrots Pas Parisiens.
A victory hailed, but without a star
Quentin won the Top Chef 2025 season with 52.65% of the vote, against an impressive jury of 57 Michelin stars and 8 Meilleurs Ouvriers de France. Although deserved, this victory was not enough to convince the MICHELIN Guide inspectors. While his dishes were seductive in their creativity and boldness, the lack of consistency across the 11 proposals held back the award of a star. A nuanced but revealing decision: the potential is there, the consistency remains to be affirmed.
An ephemeral restaurant on the Seine
From July 3, 2025, Quentin Mauro will take over a barge next to Le Splash in Asnières-sur-Seine. The concept? A 6-course gastronomic dinner focusing on fish, priced at €95 (with a €50 wine & food pairing). A hushed atmosphere, evening service only, and a promise: to take guests on a culinary voyage along the water.
This summer’s bet?
With this ephemeral address open until the end of August, Quentin is playing a clever card: capture a summer clientele curious to extend the TV experience to the real thing. But will he be able to make the most of the ever-changing Parisian gastronomic scene? His menu on the water could become a must-try address, provided he continues to refine his dishes.
Reservations only via The Fork, few covers per service, and a short season: it’ s now or never to sample the cuisine of the Top Chef winner. It’s a clever way to stall the opening of a real restaurant in Paris.
