Theo James embodies eccentric elegance for Church’s in Autumn-Winter 2025

English fashion house Church’s unveils a chic new campaign starring actor Theo James. A plunge into the highly stylized daily life of a British gentleman.
If English style immediately evokes tweed, weathered leather and tea at 4pm, Church’s offers a reinvented version, somewhere between tradition and derision. For its Autumn-Winter 2025 campaign, the brand has called on Theo James, an undeniably charming British actor, to embody English elegance in a short film entitled “A Day in the Life”.
Under the artistic direction of David James, this series of theatrical scenes takes place in an Oxfordshire manor house, the perfect setting to celebrate the aristocratic spirit… with a touch of humor. We discover Theo James in pyjamas and Poulton boots, sipping his morning tea, or in a three-piece suit and Shannon derbies, leafing through the press in a light-filled library. Later, we find him in Hertford loafers, exploring a billiard room with impeccably waxed parquet. Each sequence reveals a refined look, rooted in a confident British aesthetic.
Traditional craftsmanship and modern technology
Church’s, founded in Northampton over 150 years ago, continues to combine heritage and innovation. Two new lines stand out this season: Goodyear 2.0, which offers a modernized construction for enhanced comfort, without sacrificing elegance, and Off-Town, a range designed for rural escapades with robust, weather-resistant leathers.
Each model reflects the attention paid to materials, assembly and durability, values at the heart of Church’s DNA. In a world of fast-paced consumerism, the British brand stands for slow, precise and sustainable fashion.
A campaign visible from August 2025
This short film, part homage, part parody of the British gentleman, will be available in stores and on the official Church’s website from August 2025. The polished aesthetic and humorous winks should appeal to lovers of fine shoes and fans of Theo James alike.
