Longchamp enters the perfume business with Interparfums: a new olfactory chapter

Longchamp announces its arrival in the world of perfume, with a first launch scheduled for 2027. A strategic collaboration with Interparfums until 2036.

Known for iconic bags such as the Pliage, Longchamp, founded in Paris in 1948, is embarking on a new stage in its development: entry into the luxury perfume sector. An unexpected but well-considered turn, which should enable the brand to reinforce its global lifestyle image.

This project is the result of an exclusive licensing agreement with Interparfums SA, the French giant in licensed perfumery. Already a partner of houses such as Coach, Jimmy Choo and Montblanc, Interparfums will be responsible for the creation, production and distribution of future Longchamp fragrances.

A long-term olfactory ambition

The contract, signed until December 31, 2036, provides for a first commercial release in 2027. No details have yet been revealed about the name or notes of this first fragrance, but the directors of the two houses insist on a shared desire to translate Longchamp’s DNA into olfactory language.

For Jean Cassegrain, CEO of Longchamp, the objective is to extend the brand’s universe through a sensorial expression faithful to its values: authenticity, energy and creative curiosity. For Interparfums, Philippe Benacin emphasizes the strength of Longchamp’s house codes, already well established in leather goods and ready-to-wear, to build a coherent and elegant fragrance offering.

A selective strategy… and a Parisian one

Distribution will be selective, via the usual luxury channels but also within Longchamp’s own network of over 400 boutiques in 80 countries. In Paris, the first fragrances will most likely be offered in the brand’s flagship stores, such as the one on Rue Saint-Honoré, or in the flagship store on Avenue des Champs-Élysées.
