Tiffany & Co. at the US Open 2025: a jewellery racket that redefines the trophy

For the US Open 2025, Tiffany & Co. is pushing back the boundaries of design by transforming the tennis racket into an exceptional jewellery object. A spectacular gesture that highlights the ability of luxury brands to combine craftsmanship, innovation and cultural influence, even in Paris.

For almost forty years, Tiffany & Co. has participated in the US Open, not as a visible sponsor but as a master goldsmith of trophies. These pieces, designed in the Cumberland workshop in Rhode Island, are crafted by hand. Engraving, polishing, finishing: each gesture tells the story of the sport, but also of craftsmanship excellence.

In 2025, the American House goes one step further, unveiling a unique creation: the HardWear by Tiffany racket. This is not a sports accessory, but a work of jewelry worthy of 5th Avenue showcases or Parisian salons. The racket is set with almost five carats of diamonds, accompanied by a 24-carat gold vermeil ball, itself encrusted with seven carats of precious stones. A cross between sculpture and jewelry, it embodies a sporting feat in a luxurious and original form.

The art of the trophy elevated to the level of fine jewelry

This project illustrates the dual heritage of Tiffany & Co. as a company capable of honoring tradition while innovating without compromise. The trophy is no longer simply an object of reward, but becomes an artistic manifesto. This approach is reminiscent of the haute joaillerie exhibitions held in Paris, notably at the Musée des Arts Décoratifs and the Grand Palais Éphémère, where the boundary between jewel and work of art is abolished.

Staging sport through the prism of luxury

With this initiative, Tiffany & Co. transforms the US Open into a cultural showcase. No longer content with engraving a name on a trophy, Tiffany & Co. is sculpting the memory of sport. It’s an elegant response to the rise of aesthetics in the sporting world, and a demonstration of quiet power in the world of luxury.

Paris, capital of jewelry and design, could one day host this racket in an exhibition devoted to the art of the trophy. A way of bringing together sport, art and luxury across continents.
