A historic tribute to 1925
The Musée des Arts Décoratifs revisits the 1925 Exposition Internationale, the founding moment ofArt Deco. Nearly one hundred years later, Paris is highlighting this heritage by reinterpreting it through a contemporary scenography. The event promises to be one of the most eagerly awaited of autumn 2025.
Over 1,000 pieces will be on display, including furniture by Ruhlmann, monumental screens by Jean Dunand and refined jewelry by Eileen Gray. Each room immerses visitors in the luxurious, geometric elegance of the Art Deco style. Visitors will experience a true visual and sensory voyage.
To prepare their visit, visitors can draw inspiration from the What to do in Paris section, rich in cultural ideas. The centenary of the Art Deco movement makes Paris the world capital of Art Deco in 2025. The event testifies to the exceptional vitality of Parisian museums.
Immersive scenography
The scenography designed by Maxime d’Angeac invites visitors to relive the “Roaring Twenties”. An authentic compartment of the Orient Express will be displayed alongside three life-size prototypes of its future design. The idea is to link the glamour of 1925 with the engineering of the 21st century.
Settings include luxurious salons, modernist boutiques and retro-futuristic storefronts. The experience plunges you into an era of cultural dynamism and architectural innovation. Paris confirms its position as the world’s capital of luxury and creativity.
Throughout the exhibition, visitors can appreciate the global impact ofArt Deco. From New York to Tokyo, this style has left its mark on modern design and remains a source of inspiration for today’s designers. Interactive installations promise to appeal to all audiences.
A landmark Orient Express partnership
The involvement of the Accor group through Orient Express gives the exhibition a unique international dimension. The rebirth of the legendary train will be presented as a current example of durability and daring. This choice underlines the extent to which the Art Deco style still inspires modernity.
Orient Express will unveil a preview of models and illustrations of its future service, in dialogue with historical archives. This confrontation highlights a century of innovation, from 1925 to 2025. It perfectly illustrates the continuity of French know-how.
Visitors can admire a reinterpreted cabin, the work of Maxime d’Angeac. This reconstruction is one of the focal points of the exhibition. A successful gamble for MAD, combining heritage and future.
Paris’ role as a creative hub is once again confirmed. Fashion, design and architecture respond to each other. The 2025 program echoes the L’Oréal Paris fashion show in front of the Hôtel de Ville, another highlight of this cultural autumn.

The museum also aims to illustrate the global spread of Art Deco through the decades. Posters by Yves Saint Laurent recall how the style found a second life in couture. A global panorama that reinforces the site’s tourist appeal.
