A flagship address in the Grand Palais, the Grand Café bar is a new landmark for enjoying a cocktail in a vibrant atmosphere. From 6.30pm, with no reservation required, the bar offers an immersion in the art of the Colin Field cocktail.

Paris loves its brasseries. They embody a rhythm, a way of being together, a refuge where regulars, the curious and travelers meet. Le Grand Café perpetuates this tradition, while giving it a contemporary twist. In the heart of the Grand Palais, this address imagined by Loulou Groupe strikes a delicate balance between heritage and modernity, with a central bar that becomes the stage for shared moments.

Mixology incarnate

The bar’s first attraction is its aura. Colin Field, a respected figure on the cocktail scene for over forty years, orchestrates the classics here with rare precision. Fans will find their bearings with a Negroni, a Manhattan or a French 75, born in Paris a century ago. The Sidecar, made in England but marked by French liqueurs, recalls the historic interconnection between Paris and the rest of the world. Field also allows himself a few freer detours, such as a luminous Limoncello Spritz or the use of shochu, a nod to a more voyageur mixology.

A bar designed for encounters

Beyond cocktails, the bar is a place of movement. The central stage plays host to live musicians every evening from 8.30pm. The pace is lively, conversations flow, glasses clink under the vaulted ceiling of the Grand Palais. You’ll find that Parisian energy, that mix of spontaneity and precision that characterizes the addresses appreciated by insiders.

A decor orchestrated by Joseph Dirand

Le Grand Café is designed by Joseph Dirand, a loyal collaborator of Loulou Groupe. The impressive volumes of the Grand Palais are softened by warm tones, terrazzo, wood and Pernice marble, creating a hushed ambience. The light changes with the hours, revealing the subtle interplay between monumentality and intimacy. This visual signature accompanies the bar experience: comfortable, enveloping, almost cinematic.

The menu, devised by Benoît Dargère, features French classics revisited with restraint. Vol-au-vent, blanquette, filet de boeuf or lobster tempura are just some of the dishes on the menu. In fine weather, the terrace facing the Champs-Élysées offers a unique perspective on Paris, in an almost garden-like atmosphere.
