With Christmas fast approaching, the great palaces unveil their finest ideas to delight young and old alike. This year, the Mandarin Oriental, Paris, an iconic address on Rue Saint-Honoré, has created one of the capital’s most refined programs. From a haute-couture log to olfactory snacks, exceptional festive menus and moments of well-being, the palace is transformed into a veritable showcase for festivities, where every detail counts.

Goûterd’Hiver Frédéric Malle: the perfect harmony between perfumery and patisserie

From November 24, 2025, Le Camélia will be hosting a Goûter d’Hiver created in collaboration with Les Éditions de Parfums Frédéric Malle. A unique experience that brings together the art of perfume and the art of pastry-making. A totally sensory tea time, imagined as a journey through the olfactory universe of Frédéric Malle. Each sweet is inspired by an iconic fragrance:

  • Magnolia water → lemon, bergamot, grapefruit
  • Portrait of a Lady → delicate rose in a couture dessert style
  • Cologne Bigarade → solar orange blossom
  • Music for a While → pineapple & vanilla
  • Musc Ravageur → bergamot & mandarin

Available at Camélia, €70 per person, including a hot drink and 5 pastries.

La Bûche Couture: when haute pâtisserie and haute couture come together

Consultant Pastry Chef Julien Dugourd unveils a spectacular creation: the Bûche Couture, imagined as a sculpture inspired by the fashion sketches on display in the palace.
Produced in a limited edition of 60 numbered pieces, it takes the form of a delicately engraved designer dress. A true work of pastry-making, conceived as both a gourmet emotion and a collector’s item. When tasted, the magic happens:

  • a vanilla mousse as soft as a precious fabric,
  • a praline heart with roasted dried fruit,
  • a delicate crunch,
  • a satin glaze reminiscent of haute-couture silks.

Available from December 21 to 26, 2025, on order 72 hours in advance(140 €, 6 to 8 people).
Individual version from December 12 to 31(20 €)

Magical New Year’s Eve creations by chef Nina Haradji

For her first year at the helm of Le Camélia, Nina Haradji is offering two exceptional dinners:
December 24: 6-course Christmas menu
Saint-Jacques à la truffe, langoustine raviole, root vegetable consommé, capon with truffle butter, hazelnut and chestnut jus… A comforting New Year’s Eve experience that blends tradition and modernity.
December 31st 7-course New Year’s Eve menu
Pan-seared foie gras, blue lobster, shellfish broth, Wagyu beef sliced with yuzu… An elegant score to welcome the New Year with flair.

Vegetarian menus are also available for an inclusive and refined festive experience.

La Galette des Rois: a poetic tribute to palace honey

To prolong the magic of the festive season until Epiphany, Mandarin Oriental, Paris unveils a Galette des Rois imagined by Pastry Chef Julien Dugourd. Faithful to the family spirit celebrated by this tradition, the Chef revisits the galette with Parisian delicacy, flavoring it with honey from the beehives installed on the roof of the palace. This signature honey brings gentle, elegant and subtle floral notes, modernizing the frangipane while respecting its authentic character.
Visually, the galette is a veritable work of art: its honeycomb decoration echoes the doors of the Mandarin Oriental, Paris and the structure of a honeycomb. A poetic, refined creation, conceived as a tender nod to the ingredient that inspires it.
Serving 6 to 8 people, it will be on sale from January 3 to 31, 2026 at The Cake Shop, for €69. Pre-order 48 hours in advance. For those who prefer an individual sweet, slices will also be available for €12.
