Gooding Christie’s unveils an exceptional collector’s car catalog for its inaugural sale at Rétromobile Paris
For its first Paris auction, Gooding Christie’s, official auctioneer of the Rétromobile show, strikes hard. The entire Rétromobile Paris Auction catalog is now online, revealing a spectacular selection of 82 exceptional automotive lots, bringing together some of the most coveted cars on the international collector’s market.
This inaugural sale, to be held on Thursday January 29, 2026 at Paris Expo Porte de Versailles, is already shaping up to be one of the highlights of Retromobile week. In particular, it features an absolutely remarkable selection of Ferraris, covering the brand’s golden age as well as its most radical and contemporary expressions.
Ferrari at the heart of the sale: historic icons and extreme sports cars

Ferrari takes center stage in this eagerly awaited catalog. Among the top lots is a Ferrari 288 GTO from 1984, a veritable myth in automotive history and one of the most influential models ever produced by the brand. Produced in just 272 examples, this 288 GTO, estimated at between 6 and 7 million euros, is distinguished by its exceptional state of preservation, very low mileage and impeccable provenance, accompanied by its Ferrari Classiche Red Book.

Another highlight of the catalog is the presence of two Ferraris from the XX program, Maranello’s pinnacle of research and development. The 2018 Ferrari FXX K Evo, estimated at between 5.5 and 6.5 million euros, is offered without a reserve price. Exclusively dedicated to the track, it embodies Ferrari’s extreme technological sophistication, with over 1,000 horsepower and cutting-edge aerodynamics. Alongside it, the 2008 Ferrari FXX Evo, also without reserve, illustrates the radicalism of the XX program in its purest form.

The sale also includes a Ferrari Monza SP1 from 2021, from the ultra-exclusive Icona series, estimated at between 2.5 and 3 million euros, as well as a Ferrari 458 GTE competition car, one of the most sought-after atmospheric GT models of its era, with an impressive sporting record. Finally, for lovers of classic grand touring, a Classiche-certified Ferrari 250 GT Lusso from 1963 evokes the timeless elegance of the Enzo Ferrari era.

An event sale at the heart of Rétromobile week
This auction will take place in the prestigious setting of the Rétromobile Paris show, a not-to-be-missed event for classic car enthusiasts, which runs from January 27 to February 1, 2026. Every year, Rétromobile brings together collectors, dealers, manufacturers, museums and enthusiasts around rare vehicles, themed exhibitions and top-level sales.

With this first Paris sale, Gooding Christie’s confirms its determination to establish itself as a major player in the European market. As Oliver Camelin, the company’s Managing Director EMEA, points out, this Ferrari selection brings together “an exceptional ensemble, from classic icons to the most advanced models of the XX program”, designed to appeal to an international clientele.
With its blend of automotive excellence, impeccable provenance and prestigious setting, the Rétromobile Paris Auction promises to be one of the major events on the 2026 automotive calendar.
