The (very) Parisian interview with Sarah Lavoine

Sarah Lavoine has established herself in a few years as a central figure in interior design in France. For Paris Select, she shared her best pleasure addresses in the capital…to be enjoyed without moderation! Sarah Lavoine, you are known for your faultless taste, your sense of color and light… what are the places where you find yourself comfortable, at ease, peaceful? What are your Parisian tips for our readers? ◊ A bar where to bask? Le Loulou, at the Museum of Decorative Arts. ◊ A restaurant to adopt? Lala cooks! The restaurant that I opened with my friend David Lahner in my flagship store on place des Victoires. ◊ A favorite market? The Raspail organic market, one of the rare organic markets in the capital (Sunday morning. Boulevard Raspail, between rue du Cherche-Midi and rue de Rennes, 75006), and also the Marché Président-Wilson. I go there for Joël Thiébault's vegetables, ultra-fresh fish and charcuterie. (Every Wednesday and Saturday. Avenue du President-Wilson, between rue Debrousse and place d'Iéna, 75016 Paris.) ◊ A spa where you can pamper yourself …

lucieblanche, the graphic jewels to have absolutely

Recently installed in the Marais, thus inaugurating her first Parisian boutique, lucieblanche offers graphic jewellery, with a touch of rock, which she draws and designs herself. Focus on this talented creator… Coming from a family of artists – a sculptor and painter father, a luthier cousin in Tokyo and another art bookbinder – we can say that lucieblanche is a child of the ball. However, this beautiful Norman almost ended up in a totally different sector. In parallel with her studies at the Beaux-Arts, she spends her time with teenagers to whom she introduces archeology, another of her passions. Supervising the renovation sites of historical and cultural sites, she especially appreciates this relationship with people and history. But that was before fate got involved. During an exhibition in Switzerland, she met a game changer: that of Marie-Lise Gasser. The latter fell in love with his creations and immediately trusting him, opened the doors to the world of contemporary jewellery, the work of "object-adornment", metal...

Numaé: the stylish brand for the little ones

The Numaé style: The brand was founded in 2004 by the designer, Manuelle Schmite, who has since successfully selected materials as soft as childhood, suitable for children, their skin and... our tastes! The Numaé signature emphasizes powdery colors, fresh shades, and materials that give childhood its chic. The prints are lovely, varied, and suitable for all ages… Why do we absolutely want a “SOROCK” sweater? Firstly because its slogan "I am Rock'n roll" becomes adorable when it's a cherub who wears it, then because it's the height of comfort, and finally because it's ideal for mid- season and its uneven temperatures. It contains cashmere which makes it extremely soft and light. Thanks to its little mother-of-pearl buttons, it closes on the side: practical, pretty, chic, in a word: perfect. Where to find the shops? In addition to its various points of sale scattered all over France, you can find four …

The human Comédie Yuji, a natural hair salon.

Based in Paris for 15 years, the Japanese hairdresser Yuji worked with the greatest before opening his own salon rue de Louvois. In the heart of the 2nd arrondissement, on the edge of the square facing the National Library, is L'Humaine Comédie, a hairdressing salon that owes its original appearance to its past as a bookstore and then an antique store. It is in this setting, recognizable by its beautiful silver sign, that Yuji, a hairdresser of Japanese origin who has been living in Paris for 15 years, officiates. This hair artist cut his teeth with the biggest names in hairdressing: Massato, Christophe Robin, Lucia Iraci, Madeleine Cofano... People come here to get a natural cut, easy to live with and maintain, but also for coloring – just as natural – which are worked to be in harmony with the complexion of the skin, the color of the eyes, or simply the type of personality. This makeover is done in a warm decor, with an elegant and comfortable style that is both rock and slightly vintage. …

Annabel Winship, very rock'n'roll shoes!

The shoes imagined by designer Annabel Winship reveal a very British eccentricity and humor, to the delight of fashionistas. Ballerinas, babies, low-heeled pumps, vertiginous boots… Annabel Winship's creations adopt all shapes but each time impose an assumed identity, through downright funky patterns and colors. Thus, the models take on girly codes – sequins, liberty, polka dots and even small hearts – without ever being “nunuche”. Better still, they proudly display the rock stars of Ziggy Stardust or the colors of the Union Jack – the flag of the United Kingdom – for a perfectly mastered 100% British look. The advantage of the creations signed Annabel Winship: the comfort of the models which, despite their incredible style, are worn like slippers! Their secret: a cut designed not to hurt the foot, but above all a soft leather and a padded sole. ♡ The Paris Select favourite: the famous Twilight collection with its shower of metallic stars.
