For its reopening, the Musée Carnavalet - Histoire de Paris offers a crossed look at Paris: two parallel exhibitions of the photos of Eugène Atget and those of his colleague, Henri Cartier-Bresson. From June 15 to October 31, 2021, the Carnavalet museum exhibits the photos of Eugène Atget and Henri Cartier-Bresson, two great photographers of the 4th century. The latter captured the lives of Parisians during the great moments of history but also the small details and other daily worries. Before him, Eugène Atget immortalized every street in Paris, thus producing precise and very practical documentation for the artists of his time.
