Wes Anderson retrospective at the Cinémathèque de Paris
From March 19 to July 27, 2025, the Cinémathèque française will honor the singular universe of Wes Anderson through an immersive, never-before-seen exhibition.
A tribute to the unique world of Wes Anderson
After being celebrated in Lyon in 2024, Wes Anderson will have his first retrospective in Paris. A master of symmetry, pastel colors and zany narratives, the American director has established an aesthetic that is instantly recognizable. His visual and narrative universe will be explored in depth in this eventful exhibition.
Iconic costumes, props and sets on display
The Cinémathèque française, located at 51 rue de Bercy (75012 Paris), will be offering an immersion into the director’s world. Through unique pieces from his personal collection, we’ll discover more about him. Visitors will be able to see costumes, accessories and emblematic set elements from cult films such as. Return to La Famille Tenenbaum, The Grand Budapest Hotel, Fantastic Mr. Fox Asteroid City, or The French Dispatch, inspired by France and partly shot in Angoulême.
A new tribute to James Cameron
After the major exhibition devoted to James Cameron, Wes Anderson will be honored at the Cinémathèque in 2025. An event that promises to attract many admirers of his unique style, a blend of dreamlike nostalgia and visual perfection.
