Midô Paris: the ultra-confidential Nikkei spot at the InterContinental

A green patio, sculpted plates and Japanese/South American fusion flavors… Welcome to Midô Paris, InterContinental’s best-kept secret.

Midô Paris: discreet luxury meets Nikkei art

Located in the heart of the Hôtel InterContinental in Paris, Midô Paris is anything but a simple hotel restaurant. It’s a hushed cocoon where Japanese and South American influences collide in a luxurious but unostentatious setting.

The name, taken directly from the Japanese word Midori (green), is reflected in a refined décor: sea-green marble, deep velvets, touches of bamboo, brass fixtures… The result is a setting conducive to disconnection, where every detail evokes an elsewhere. An unashamed elegance that immediately appeals to urban aesthetes.

The planted patio – transformed with the seasons – adds an unexpected touch: sun terrace in summer, intimate winter garden at the first sign of cold. A rare luxury in the heart of Paris.

Nikkei cuisine that avoids clichés

Christopher Brugnaux, the chef at the helm, orchestrates a culinary score between Japan and South America. But Midô doesn’t just ride the Nikkei wave. Here, every plate tells the story of a true dialogue between continents, without compromising on technicality.

Highlights include the “Mido style” Salmon Tiradito: spicy, melting, almost hypnotic. Shrimp tempura with a spicy aioli. Or the superb Wagyu au Robata, grilled with vegetable charcoal and cherry wood – a rare gesture in Paris.

On the sushi front, the promise is kept: hand-sliced sashimi, meticulous nigiri, inspired gunkans, and even “Midô style” temaki with cleverly unbalanced combinations.

Cocktails in dialogue with the dishes

At the bar, the bartenders take as many risks as the chef. No revisited mojitos here: every cocktail is a house creation. The Japanese Pornstar Martini: ginger vodka, yuzu, vanilla, passion and champagne. The Nikkei Spicy Margarita: Patron tequila with jalapeños and Japanese black salt. And the Pisco Sakura Sour: pisco with cherry blossom, shiso and lime.

And the most daring? Food and cocktail pairings imagined in real time. A rarity in the capital.

Tableware by Tino Aiello

Groupe La Môme has entrusted theart of tableware to Tino Aiello, a Vallauris-based potter and French ceramics champion. Each piece has been crafted in collaboration with the chefs to sublimate the dishes while respecting the Midô aesthetic: noble craftsmanship and refined design. It’s not just beautiful: it’s conceived as an extension of the culinary gesture.

Groupe La Môme: from the South to Paris with the same high standards

After conquering Cannes, Monte-Carlo and even London, Ugo and Antoine Lecorché open their first Parisian address. Midô Paris is in the tradition of discreet luxury, without folklore: excellent service, demanding products, a hedonistic vision of the meal.
