Grand Palais summer: the crazy program
Suspended dance, inflatable sculptures, Brazilian DJ sets and crochet installations: this is the Grand Palais. From June 6 to September 7, 2025, the iconic Nave becomes the Grand Palais d’été, a festival of forms and genres, featuring the performing arts, popular festivals and the great names of contemporary creation.
A transformed nave, between art and sensory immersion
Ernesto Neto: thread, spices and drums
Brazilian artist Ernesto Neto sets the tone with a monumental work: Nosso Barco Tambor Terra. Using giant crochet hooks, bark, spices and drums activated by visitors, he creates an organic, poetic universe where everyone can move freely.
More than an exhibition, it’s a ritual experience, a manifesto for the union of cultures through rhythm, materials and collective play. Concerts and workshops will extend the immersion until July 25, 2025.
Euphoria: inflatable sculptures regain their height
After the success of Pop Air in 2022, the Balloon Museum returns with a spectacular exhibition: Euphoria, on view until September 7, 2025.
Over 4,000 m², artists from all over the world revisit the inflatable universe in a joyful, immersive and participatory spirit. A playful way to question art as a sensory and democratic pleasure, between monumental design and pop culture.
Performance art: between vertigo, memory and clubbing
Vertigo: aerial acrobatics under a glass roof
On June 6, 7 and 8, the Nave becomes an aerial playground with Vertige, a creation by Rachid Ouramdane in collaboration with Chassol and Nathan Paulin.
Suspended acrobats, highliners balancing, audiences lying on the ground… the space is turned upside down. The ambition? To rethink the way we look at a place, while celebrating the power of the body and architecture.
Hervé x MazelFreten: electro concert and urban choreography
Immediately afterwards, there’s an electrifying performance by Hervé (winner of the Victoires de la Musique award) and the MazelFreten collective, revealed at the 2024 Olympic Games ceremony.
A concert danced between hip-hop and electro, where the Nave literally vibrates under the steps and beats. Two evenings – June 7 and 8 – to experience the Paris scene in a whole new way.
Mohamed El Khatib: documentary theater and collective memory
From June 13 to 29, Mohamed El Khatib ‘s retrospective Le grand palais de ma mère blurs the boundaries between museum and living fiction.
On the program: offbeat exhibitions, popular narratives, hard-hitting shows(Finir en beauté, Stadium, La vie secrète des vieux) and 504 evenings, on North African memory and Mediterranean summers.
An intimate, political and generous plunge into ten years of hybrid creation.
Olivier Saillard: when fashion becomes memory
Finally, from July 10 to 13, historian and performer Olivier Saillard presents Moda Povera V: Les vêtements de Renée, a poignant performance dedicated to his mother.
A modest wardrobe, transformed into a haute couture collection: the act is simple, yet deeply moving. Between personal homage and critique of the luxury industries, Saillard summons fashion as an affective and social language.
A flamboyant finale: Carnaval Tropical
On July 6, 2025, Paris will be decked out in rhythms and glitter with the Carnaval Tropical, between the Champs-Élysées and the Grand Palais.
As part of the Brazil-France Season, the event celebrates its 25th anniversary with the theme “Amazonies”, celebrating the diversity of the Caribbean, Guyana and Latin America in a spectacular parade.
A festive and unifying moment, between tradition and contemporary creation.
Grand Palais d’été: a plural, inclusive and free project
This program is not just a stack of events. It’s a declaration: to make the Grand Palais a lively, accessible venue in dialogue with its time.
A project that brings together the great names of the contemporary scene, popular festivities and sensitive reflections on our memories and our bodies.
The Nave thus becomes what it has never totally ceased to be: a palace for all, where summer can be experienced on a grand scale.
