L’Aventure Paris: the flamboyant renaissance of a legendary venue a stone’s throw from the Arc de Triomphe

Reinvented by Gilbert and Thierry Costes, L’Aventure returns to the forefront of the Parisian scene with an address combining gastronomy, club and soon a 5-star hotel.

At 4 avenue Victor-Hugo, opposite the Arc de Triomphe, L’Aventure makes a comeback that’s as discreet as it is masterful. Once a night spot in the 1970s and 80s, this iconic venue is now enjoying a second lease of life under the impetus of the Beaumarly group. Led by Gilbert and Thierry Costes, this rebirth is more than just a simple reopening: it reinvents a Parisian art of living, between absolute refinement and measured audacity.

An Art Deco world revisited with panache

The décor, designed by Martin Brudnizki Design studio and enriched by Vincent Darré‘s winks, immediately plunges you into a hushed ambience. Mythological mosaics, blown-glass chandeliers, curved woodwork, deep velvets, hand-crafted gilding and a majestic heron in eglomized glass set the scene: contemporary Art Deco, a subtle tribute to a glamorous era.

The ensemble was crafted by French artisans (SICIS, Gohard, Malvaux, James 1840), underlining Beaumarly’s commitment to living heritage and bespoke design. More than a décor, it’s an aesthetic manifesto in the heart of Paris.

A restaurant with Franco-Japanese influences

In terms of cuisine, L’Aventure offers an inventive and demanding gastronomic score. Here, langoustine tartare with Osciètre gold caviar, foies gras with avocado, and sea bass ceviche flirt with Asia without denying French tradition. Grilled wagyu beef with binchotan rubs shoulders with revisited sole meunière, and brocoletti with pomegranate slivers competes with frites allumettes that evoke the great Parisian brasserie classics.

The sweets are not to be outdone, with a signature cheesecake or a cloud of honey on pineapple cream, to be savored in complicit silence.

A confidential club and hotel

As soon as dinner is over, the restaurant fades behind the lights of the club, which prolongs the evening in a subdued, musical atmosphere. A veritable nocturnal institution to come, it heralds the return of elegant, electrifying Parisian life.

In 2025, L’Aventure will complete its transformation with the opening of a 16-key, five-star hotel, extending this total experience. A logical next step for those who want to stay in Paris in style, not just go out.

A new lease of life in Paris

More than just a place to dine or party, L’Aventure has become a destination in its own right. We come here to dine, dance and stroll, but above all to indulge in a rare art de vivre. An address for insiders, combining the heritage of a vibrant past with a sensitive modernity.
