Krug invites itself to the Bristol: an immersive summer kitchen designed by Arnaud Faye

From July 1 to September, Maison Krug takes over the Jardin Français at the Hôtel Le Bristol with an original summer kitchen. An encounter between great champagnes and sensory gastronomy, conceived as an art of living.

In Paris, there’s no shortage of alliances between haute gastronomy and hotel prestige. But few offer an experience as immersive as the one imagined this summer by Maison Krug at the Bristol Paris. From July 1, 2025, the Jardin Français, the discreet green setting of the palace on rue du Faubourg Saint-Honoré, will become the stage for an unprecedented summer chapter where great champagnes, culinary creativity and French service excellence come together.

Krug, the champagne of absolute blending

Founded in Reims in 1843, Maison Krug was built around an ideal: to offer the best champagne, every year, whatever the weather. By drawing on the diversity of plots and years, each vintage is crafted as a unique work of art. The Krug Grande Cuvée, recreated each year, symbolizes this vision. A champagne blend, the fruit of more than 120 wines from ten different years, driven by the most exacting standards.

True to this philosophy of precision and freedom, Krug has imagined the Krug in the Kitchen project: an ode to the single ingredient, magnified by the greatest chefs. In 2025, the carrot is in the spotlight – a simple yet surprisingly complex product, which Chef Arnaud Faye sublimates through a bespoke summer menu.

A contemporary, refined summer kitchen

Newly appointed Executive Chef of the Bristol, Arnaud Faye, Meilleur Ouvrier de France, orchestrates this ephemeral table with elegance. Trained in the finest establishments (La Chèvre d’Or, l’Espadon, l’Auberge du Jeu de Paume…), he brings a contemporary take on the product. The carrot thus becomes the central element of a trilogy of gourmet pizzas, one of which, a signature, is designed directly in harmony with Krug Rosé and Krug Grande Cuvée.

The chef also offers a selection of crudos, playing on textures and freshness, in a relaxed yet refined setting. In the kitchen, an open-plan installation with a custom-built pizza oven lets you see the gestures, enter into the intimacy of creation, and experience a form of culinary theater.

Perfect harmony between carrot and champagne

Carrots, often relegated to an accompaniment role, take on a whole new dimension here. Raw, roasted, caramelized or puréed, it enters into dialogue with Krug champagnes, each revealing a different facet: Krug Rosé 28ème Édition exalts its depth, while Grande Cuvée 172ème Édition brings out its acidulous notes and freshness.

The challenge of sublimating such a humble vegetable in such a prestigious setting is a bold one. But it reflects the current direction of luxury: less ostentation than subtle mastery of gestures and combinations.

A confidential restaurant in the heart of the 8th arrondissement

The magic is also in the setting: the Bristol’s Jardin Français, protected from the hustle and bustle of the city, welcomes guests in a calm, chic but not staid atmosphere. Few place settings, precise service and a suspended moment, far removed from the classic rituals of Michelin-starred restaurants. It’s a different way of tasting champagne, with the right dishes and a sensory approach.

Krug at the Bristol is more than just an event: it’s a gastronomic experience that boasts a luxury of sensations, details and attention to detail.

A summer of champagne and gesture

The initiative is also part of a wider Krug strategy: to anchor its cuvées in lively, modern, experimental contexts. And Paris, with its abundance of talent and prestigious addresses, remains an ideal terrain for expression.

For lovers of fine bubbles and gourmets in search of something new, this summer cuisine offers a unique sensory escape, one to add to your summer address book.
