Porsche x Almond Surfboards: a collector’s surfboard in the spirit of 911

Porsche collaborates with Almond Surfboards for an exclusive capsule inspired by the legendary 911 Carrera RS 2.7. An unexpected encounter between German engineering and Californian culture.

This summer, the asphalt gives way to the waves. Porsche, famous for its racy engines, is once again teaming up with Almond Surfboards, the Californian benchmark for artisanal surfboards, for a very limited edition collection. The highlight of this collaboration? A handmade surfboard, inspired by the iconic 911 Carrera RS 2.7 launched in 1972.

Handcrafted in California, the board adopts a swallowtail shape, prized for its maneuverability. The design faithfully reflects the colors of the RS 2.7: Grand Prix white, red, blue or green racing stripes, and signature details such as the Porsche crest, the Almond logo, Carrera branding and the number 72. Even the colorful spoiler recalls the famous fox rims of the original car. This attention to detail will appeal to seasoned surfers and car enthusiasts alike.

A lifestyle capsule between sport and nostalgia

The collection doesn’t stop at the board. Porsche and Almond also offer a lifestyle line that captures the laid-back West Coast spirit of the 1970s. Available pieces include graphic tees, caps, embroidered sweatshirts, boardshorts, beach towels and canvas bags. Each item evokes the vintage world of the 911 and Californian surfing. For fans, stickers, an RS miniature and even a surfing guide complete the set.

And Paris?

While this collection exudes the Pacific Ocean, it is nonetheless accessible from Paris. Fans of Porsche or urban surfing can order the board ($3,000) and textile items via the Porsche online boutique. In the absence of Costa Mesa, Porsche centers in the Paris region may also soon be able to offer this capsule. The perfect way to sport a surfer’s look… even at Paris-Plages.
