Salon de la Photo 2025: four days of images and encounters in Paris

From October 9 to 12, 2025, the Grande Halle de la Villette will be hosting the Salon de la Photo, a major event for image enthusiasts.

A not-to-be-missed event for photographers, both amateur and established, the Salon de la Photo offers a huge photo and video studio open to the general public for four days. Over 4,000 m² of exhibitions and meetings will be orchestrated by Simon Edwards, artistic director of the show.

Ten major exhibitions to discover

This year’s edition features some of the great names in photography, with the major exhibition Une Aventure italienne (An Italian Adventure), immersing visitors in the history of the Italian image through the Contrasto collection and the Forma Foundation. Among the artists featured are Richard Avedon, William Klein, Ferdinando Scianna, Martin Parr and Paolo Pellegrin.
At the same time, the immersive exhibition World Unseen (Canon) will offer an inclusive approach, with works accessible by touch, Braille and sound, enabling visually impaired and sighted visitors to share a unique experience.

Other highlights:

  • The Analog Chronicles, celebrating silver photography through two centuries of innovation.
  • ZOOMS 2025, showcasing emerging photography.
  • Partner festivals such as Circulation(s), Les Femmes s’exposent and the Festival International de la Photographie Culinaire enrich the program with their committed, thematic selections.

A committed and plural event

The Salon de la Photo doesn’t just exhibit. It showcases the diversity of viewpoints and pays tribute to those who take risks to bear witness. For the first time, the Bayeux Calvados-Normandie War Correspondents’ Award will be presented in Paris, with the exhibition Témoigner pour ne pas fermer les yeux (Witnessing to keep our eyes open). A moving selection of images by Jérôme Delay, Véronique de Viguerie, Yannis Behrakis and other renowned photojournalists.

The public can also take part in the Grandes Rencontres in the Boris Vian auditorium. Personalities such as Matthieu Ricard, Jean-Marie Périer, Véronique de Viguerie and Audrey Tautou will be present. These exchanges offer a unique insight into the creative process of the guest photographers.
