TERRE-TERRE, Chef Merouan Bounekraf’s new plant-based restaurant at Galeries Lafayette Gourmet

Chef Merouan Bounekraf, revealed in season 10 of Top Chef, opens his first permanent restaurant, TERRE-TERRE, on the second floor of the gourmet concept store Galeries Lafayette Gourmet 35 boulevard Haussmann, Paris 9e. This new venue embodies the vision of a vegetarian chef who, since the age of 14, has advocated 100% home cooking that is creative, joyful and deeply respectful of plants. The idea is simple and powerful: to offer a place of “uncompromisingly plant-based” indulgence, where vegetables and seasonal recipes are the stars.

Sustainable commitment and gastronomic expertise

The approach of chef Merouan Bounekraf is both responsible and refined. He works hand in hand with Panade to ensure the quality of products, favoring seasonal vegetables and enhancing the value of plants without distorting them. His professional career, which includes stints at Le Bristol, Eden Rock and L’Escargot 1903, has forged his taste and precision standards, which he now applies to his accessible, inventive vegetarian cuisine. It’s like a manifesto: gourmet, committed, with no unnecessary techniques or hidden products, but with the style and talent of a chef trained to excel.

TERRE-TERRE is more than just a vegetarian restaurant in Paris: it’s an invitation to rediscover the pleasure of vegetables, in an elegant urban setting. Perfect for lovers of inventive cuisine, for those looking for “a vegetarian table that doesn’t look vegetarian” and for all Parisian gourmets looking for a tasty break in a chic setting.

A generous menu from breakfast to dinner

At TERRE-TERRE, there’s something for every moment of the day. From 9:30 a.m., viennoiseries and pastries from the boulangerie-pâtisserie Panade bakery and pastry shop. From 11am, the mood changes with savoury dishes, vegetarian burgers, lemon-flavoured risottos, gourmet tarts, potato and Beaufort club sandwiches, potato and Beaufort bun and pan-fried chanterelle mushrooms. Prices remain affordable: sweets from €8.90, savory dishes from €14.90. In the afternoon, the restaurant transforms into a tea room, offering non-alcoholic house mocktails, homemade pastries and takeaways. The setting: an elegant dining room with around 30 covers and an intimate bar in a convivial atmosphere.
