Everyday mobility: what the C1 Cable changes
Designed for the people of Val-de-Marne, this air link will simplify traffic flow. For example, it will link Créteil to Villeneuve-Saint-Georges by flying over congested routes. Câble C1 aims for more regular journeys, even during rush hours. As a result, travel will be easier for families and workers alike.
The overhead line will serve five stations on an already busy corridor. Pointe-du-Lac station will connect directly to metro line 8. Limeil-Brévannes, Valenton and Villeneuve-Saint-Georges will then benefit from more direct
Île-de-France Mobilités is responsible for financing and governance. Câble C1 will link up with the existing network to avoid duplication. What’s more, the connection at Pointe-du-Lac will provide a fast gateway to

Cable C1 routes and stations
The C1 Cable will follow a clear route, designed to be useful. First, Pointe-du-Lac will link up with line 8 on the Créteil side. Next, the cabin will fly over Limeil-Brévannes – Plage Bleue, then Valenton – Le Château. Finally, La Végétale – Fontaine Saint-Martin and Villa Nova will complete the service.
This route avoids urban breaks and crosses major roads. As a result, times become more predictable when the road comes to a standstill. Cable C1 aims for a stable daily frequency, in line with regional standards. What’s more, level access to the station helps with strollers and luggage.
In terms of safety, the cabins will be continuously monitored. The line will continue to be operated in accordance with Île-de-France Mobilités rules. The Câble C1 must be reassuring, particularly for school or medical journeys. As a result, reliability is just as important as raw speed.
Social and environmental impact
The C1 Cable meets the challenge of equal access to services. Neighborhoods with poor access will be able to reach employment centers more quickly. What’s more, the absence of traffic jams reduces stress and delays. In short, it can change the day of a harried parent.
The Cable C1 promises a virtuous environmental balance thanks to electricity. Fewer cars on the road, fewer local emissions. At the same time, the structures limit the amount of land required for heavy roadways. This signal is in line with the region’s climate objectives.
Getting started: practical information and prospects
From now on, the date to be ticked off is December 13, 2025. This means that Cable C1 will open before the holiday season. Technical tests will take place over the preceding months under public supervision. Consequently, the ramp-up will take place in stages.
As far as tickets are concerned, contactless payment will continue to be promoted at validators. Pass Navigo and dematerialized tickets will coexist according to the rules. The C1 cable will be integrated into this ecosystem to avoid any disruption in use. Passenger information will also be synchronized with the rest of the network.
To prepare for your first trip, imagine a rainy, busy morning. That way, you’re on your way to Pointe-du-Lac, and you can hop aboard without having to wait. Cable C1 offers a stable alternative when the road is saturated. In short, this new reflex could quickly become part of your routine.
