Roland-Garros: a rooftop and a giant fan zone to follow the matches in Paris
From May 18 to June 7, 2026, Roland-Garros sets Paris abuzz. Between Porte d’Auteuil, the rooftop of Galeries Lafayette Paris Haussmann and the giant fan zone on Place de la Concorde, this new edition promises a spectacular, festive and resolutely Parisian experience.
Roland-Garros returns for a highly anticipated 2026 edition. As it does every year, the legendary clay-court tournament takes up residence at Porte d’Auteuil, with an Opening Week dedicated to qualifying before the launch of the main draw. Created in 1928, this unique Grand Slam continues to inspire tennis fans, with its history, champions and legendary moments.
A 2026 edition more open than ever
From Rafael Nadal and his fourteen titles to Yannick Noah’s historic victory in 1983, Roger Federer’s coronation in 2009 and the Williams sisters’ final in 2002, Roland-Garros is as much a part of the history of sport as it is of Paris. This year’s tournament promises to be particularly open. With the withdrawal of Carlos Alcaraz, the suspense has been ratcheted up a notch. Jannik Sinner appears to be one of the favourites, while Novak Djokovic could try his luck again on the Parisian clay.
On the French side, attention will be focused on the 14 French representatives in the men’s main draw, as well as on the women’s hopefuls. Gaël Monfils will be playing in his 20th and final tournament, a moment that promises to be emotionally charged. Arthur Fils, Moïse Kouamé and Loïs Boisson will also be among the names to keep a close eye on.
A free rooftop to watch the games
But Roland-Garros 2026 won’t just be experienced from the stands of Court Philippe-Chatrier. From May 24 to June 7, fans will be able to follow the matches from the rooftop of Galeries Lafayette Paris Haussmann. Seated on deckchairs in front of a giant screen, visitors can enjoy a 360° panoramic view over the rooftops of Paris. A chic and convivial way to experience the tournament, between the Parisian sky and the sporting atmosphere.
Another highlight is the return of the Tribune Concorde. From June 3 to 7, the Place de la Concorde will be transformed into a huge fan zone for the finals. Up to 3,800 people will be able to follow the matches on giant screens, in a festive atmosphere with DJs, food-trucks, bars and entertainment. It’s the perfect way to bring Roland-Garros out of its historic stadium and into the heart of the capital.
This 2026 edition will also focus on the art of living. Throughout the fortnight, Schweppes will be taking over the tournament with a signature bar and lounge open to the public. Spectators will be able to discover cocktails, non-alcoholic creations and an elegant atmosphere. On the gastronomic front, the Jardin des Chefs will be showcasing French cuisine from May 24 to June 5, with a host of top names including Juan Arbelaez, Yves Camdeborde, Jeffrey Cagnes, Claire Heitzler and Christophe Adam.
The verdict? Roland-Garros 2026 promises to be much more than just a tournament. It’s a true Parisian experience, combining sport, celebration, gastronomy and iconic views. Whether you’re a tennis enthusiast or simply a lover of beautiful atmospheres, come and experience Paris from May 18 to June 7 to the rhythm of the exchanges, the finals and the emotions of the clay courts.
