52 Faubourg Saint-Denis Celebrates Ten Years of Parisian Life

It’s already been a decade since this spot—conceived by Charles Compagnon—opened, and it has become one of the liveliest (and most exciting) hotspots in the Faubourg Saint-Denis.

Le 52 is a place of passage, of encounters, and above all, of loyalty. Here you’ll run into locals, chefs, creative types, curious travelers, and those who’ve been coming back since the very beginning. Set against a slightly rugged backdrop of exposed stone and polished concrete floors (simplicity is the order of the day), the restaurant embodies the neo-bristrot spirit with a distinctly masculine elegance. Everything gets straight to the point and hits the mark.

To mark this anniversary, the restaurant is bringing together several key figures from its history. On June 23 and 24, Simon Auscher, Margaux Aycard, Juliette Camboulas, and Pauline Séné will make a special return to the kitchen for two reunion dinners. On June 25, a big neighborhood party will continue the celebrations with Le Syndicat, Paris New York, and Taka & Vermo. It’ll be the kind of friendly neighborhood party we love.

At the table, Le 52 stays true to its roots: refined bistronomic cuisine that embraces a variety of influences. Grilled watermelon, shrimp tartare, potato gnocchi, cream, corn tempura, and chorizo make up a seasonal menu that changes every week.

The wine cellar follows the same philosophy: intriguing, refined, and approachable. From the wines of Domaine Vacheron in Sancerre to Élisabetta Foradori’s vintages, everything is chosen with care. Even the coffee meets these high standards, selected and roasted by Charles Compagnon.
