Galeries Lafayette: Here’s why all of Paris will be heading there this summer!
From “Sundaes by Yannick Alleno”—ice cream crafted by a three-Michelin-starred chef—to fashion pop-ups and new culinary offerings on the rooftops of Paris, Galeries Lafayette Paris Haussmann is transforming the department store into a true summer playground. Here’s what’s worth checking out—and why you’re bound to stop by this summer. ..
Happy Sundaes: Yannick Alléno Puts a New Spin on Three-Star Ice Cream

It’s the sweet surprise of the summer. Through July 29, Les Chocolats de Yannick Alléno will be setting up an outdoor ice cream stand in front of Le Gourmet, designed with the same attention to detail as a luxury restaurant dish. The three-Michelin-starred chef reinvents the sundae in his own style: two generous flavors—vanilla and chocolate—three signature sauces (vanilla caramel, grand cru chocolate, fresh strawberry extract) and a choice of four nostalgic toppings, including cookie chunks, crispy wafers, hazelnuts, or sanded pistachios.

The result? A sundae unlike any other. The sauce-extraction technique—a true hallmark of Alléno’s cuisine—elevates this popular dessert to a gourmet experience. Expect to wait in line for a few minutes, but it’s well worth it. The kiosk is located outside Galeries Lafayette Le Gourmet.
As for rooftops, the rooftop terrace is getting a makeover! While the sun beats down, the 8th floor of the Magasin Coupole is becoming the hotspot of the Parisian summer. Chef Julien Sebbag is opening Balcon, his new rooftop bistro with a distinctly French flair, and La Douce Heure by St-Germain is setting up its elderflower bar starting June 18, with a panoramic view of all the rooftops of Paris. From noon to midnight, enjoy St-Germain Spritz, sharing platters, and elderflower ice cream while taking in a skyline that few Parisian terraces can rival.
Pop-Up Fashion: La Galpa and Dolla—Two Distinct Worlds: Chic Minimalism and Soft Pastels

Also on the 2nd floor of the Magasin Coupole, two brands have teamed up for a unique pop-up that brings together the best of chic minimalism and soft pastels. Dolla, which specializes in swimwear, draws inspiration from the colors Marie Antoinette is said to have worn: powdery, almost regal shades for divinely sensual pieces. Across the way, La Galpa offers ready-to-wear creations immersed in an elegant, ethereal pastel world.

This duo is the perfect match for anyone looking for a cohesive summer wardrobe, from the beach to cocktail hour. Confident minimalism, understated sensuality: these are two brands to keep on your radar well before they become the next big thing.
Also, here are some things worth knowing about trends and news
Diptyque has something in store: the Parisian fragrance house will unveil its Summer collection on June 22 at Galeries Lafayette, and if past collections are any indication, you’d better not wait too long.

Right on the ground floor, L’Occitane en Provence is celebrating its 50th anniversary from June 24 to July 8 with a pop-up shop that evokes the scent of the garrigue. The brand is reimagining its classic Almond, Shea, and Verbena fragrances in new packaging and recreating the atmosphere of a Provençal home right in the heart of Haussmann. It’s a refreshing escape between two fitting sessions.
On the cultural front, the Lafayette Anticipations Foundation is worth a visit through July 19 to see works by Diego Marcon and Ladji Diaby, who explore the boundary between the spiritual and the material with rare intensity. And for those who prefer the big screen, Christopher Nolan returns on July 15 with *Odyssey*: Matt Damon, Zendaya, and Anne Hathaway star in an epic that promises to live up to the myth. Ariana Grande, meanwhile, is set to dominate the summer soundtrack with *Petal*, her new album due out on July 31. It’s sure to keep you entertained on evenings between sunbathing sessions.
