Le Hameau des Baux reopens its doors: the art of living in Provence reaches new heights
Located between Les Baux-de-Provence, Maussane and Arles, Le Hameau des Baux is an epicurean’s haven. It offers a highly inspired version of contemporary luxury. The perfect opportunity to rediscover the hotel business in a whole new way.
A long-awaited reopening in the Alpilles region
On April 4, 2025, Le Hameau des Baux reopens its doors with a renewed promise: to offer an immersive, hedonistic and resolutely creative hotel experience, in the heart of one of the most beautiful corners of Provence. Nestled in a 5-hectare olive grove, away from the hustle and bustle, the establishment cultivates the subtle art of elegant letting go.
Conceived as a traditional Provencal village, with a shady square, singing fountain and stone mazets, Le Hameau is the perfect guest house. In 2025, the address will be enriched with a swimming corridor reserved for adults, six new rooms and an intimate seminar area. A controlled evolution, faithful to the spirit of the place.
An arty philosophy in every detail
Here, art is not a setting, it’s a state of mind. Artistic director Constance Breton orchestrates a rich program of residencies, exhibitions and site-specific installations. From summer onwards, visitors can take part in “artpéro’s”, creative open-air workshops, while sipping a drink in the gardens.
Each room features original works by artists such as Sophie Calle, Laurent Grasso and Charlotte Lebon. From vintage furniture sourced in L’Isle-sur-la-Sorgue to design pieces by Hay or Gervasoni, the aesthetic is chiseled but never pretentious. The atmosphere evokes a modernized Provence, sensual and welcoming.
Two restaurants, two atmospheres
Chef Julie Chaix is at the helm of gastronomy, delivering bistronomic cuisine rooted in the terroir. Organic produce from the Saint-Rémy market, exceptional olive oil, lamb from Sisteron or peaches from the Camargue… The menu at Allegria changes according to harvest and inspiration, in a spirit that is short, fresh and ultra-local. The Sunday brunch, already a cult favorite, is the perfect synthesis.
La Petite Guinguette, open from May 30, exudes a festive atmosphere. Tapas to share, wood-fired grills, playlists by Samuel Boutruche… You can dine under the garlands, with friends or family, in a gentle, sunny atmosphere.
Wellness, nature and dolce vita à la provençale
If art is everywhere, so is well-being. Heated swimming pool, garden of Mediterranean essences, outdoor yoga classes, massages under the olive trees, ultra-equipped fitness room… everything here invites you to reconnect with yourself.
But Le Hameau goes even further. Aboard a vintage convertible or electric bike, guests can explore the surrounding area – Saint-Rémy, Eygalières, Fontvieille – at their own pace. Far from standardized hotels, each experience is conceived as a beautiful escape, on a human scale.
Responsibility built into our DNA
Behind its bohemian chic allure, Le Hameau des Baux has a strong ecological conscience. 100% European second-hand furniture, controlled energy consumption, local partnerships with craftsmen such as Maison Caulières, sustainable sourcing for the kitchen… Ethics is not a marketing argument, but a concrete and assertive approach, supported by Les Hôtels Les Petites Maisons, of which the Hameau is the first address.
A new vision of luxury: sincere, sensitive, joyful
Conceived by Guillaume Multrier and Aurélie Blanquart, the Petites Maisons concept redefines hotel luxury. There’s no grandiloquence or gilding here, just an authentic, aesthetic and deeply human art of living. We come here to breathe, reconnect and celebrate the beauty of the world – without ever losing sight of the pleasure of simplicity.
With its reopening in 2025, Le Hameau des Baux confirms that it’s not just another hotel, but a special place, where guests return for that rare feeling of being both elsewhere and at home.
