Golf is the new fashion obsession for spring-summer 2025

What if the real terrain of spring-summer 2025 fashion was no longer the catwalk… but the green? Long the preserve of a hushed elite, golf is undergoing a spectacular renaissance – aesthetically, socially and stylistically.

Golf, the new language of discreet luxury

In the wake of quiet luxury and old-money aesthetics, golf is the perfect allegory for subdued chic. Gone are the flashy logos, replaced by noble materials, muted colors and structured cuts. As underlined by the rise of golf-inspired capsule collections, the sport now embodies a new relationship with style – more measured, but no less statutory.

Contrary to the fixed heritage that some houses, such as Hermès or Zegna, carefully preserve, golf offers a modern modularity. Urban courses, democratized practices, surprising collaborations: the discipline is breaking out of its exclusive confines.

Brands take to the green

Jimmy Choo x Malbon Golf: the collab is back in full force after an initial success, with bags, shoes and accessories twisted in signature tones – green and pink – straight out of a country club of the future.

Aimé Leon Dore x FootJoy: for their second round, the two brands bet on elegant versatility, between 90’s suits and utilitarian cuts. The result is a hybrid capsule that can be worn in the office or at the driving range.

Dior, finally, goes one step further: no performance, just lifestyle. Inspired by the 80’s, its proposal evokes the posh clubs of yesteryear. Harrington jacket, pleated pants, classic V-neck: the world of golf becomes a pretext for redefining everyday elegance.

A trend that hits the bull’s eye (even without swinging)

What’s so appealing about this “golf-core” wave is its stylized accessibility. There’s no need to master the perfect swing: just adopt the codes. Brands have understood this and see it as an ideal playground for renewing their visual language without losing prestige.
